Is quantum entanglement verified or is it speculation?
Absolutely real. You need a carefully designed experiment where two particles come together within the same coordinate system so that you can no longer distinguish one from the other for them to become entangled. This happens spontaneously during processes like down conversion where a photon is split in two. interestingly, the concept of entanglement arose as a thought experiment by Einstein to kinda poke a finger at quantum mechanics and show it was incomplete. Years later it was demonstrated experimentally
What I mean to imply is that both entangled particles may actually be 'reflections' of the same switch that underlies the observable phenomena.
Yup, that'd be the wave function -- the underlying reality prior to measurement.
