How you deal with them mentally and how you view them is also going to have a big effect. Based on your post it seems like you shouldn't have too much trouble, especially if you already went three days with out anything. It can be easy to make yourself feel more sick if all you've heard is horror stories. It can be easy to keep building up in your mind how awful you're going to feel, when in reality stressing about it and thinking about it is making it a lot worse. Part of this has to do with what your actively focusing on and part could be because your anxiety and blood pressure usually increases.
Trying to stay busy really helps, but is often very hard; might have to force yourself a bit. Simple stuff, like going for a walk, can be really beneficial. Try to stay hydrated and try to get some food in you, though you might not have much of an appetite.
I've found small doses of caffeine and adderall (if you have it) to be helpful. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) works well for some muscle cramps/aches/pains. Loperamide (Immodium AD is the brand name, but it's cheaper to just get generic loperamide) is extremely useful if you have the runs, and does help with some stomach discomfort as well. So long as you don't have a problem with them, benzo's are great for getting rid of the anxiety and for helping to get some sleep. Taking a multivitamin defintely helps too. I read somewhere that taking magnesium helps during WDs, so I also take some calcium + magnesium pills (I think the calcium helps the magnesium absorb better or vice versa). They seem to help, but it could be partially placebo.
I also think weed helps a lot during WD, but I know other people who have had the exact opposite effect (I think usually it makes them more anxious?). Weed helps give me some brief relief and can usually help me get some food and liquids down. I think weed goes with everything though.
Good luck dude, you really shouldn't have too much of a problem, so don't stress too much about it!
