After reading the thread How Young is Too Young
I thought I would pose a new question for discussion... How old is too old?
when (if ever) should you give up drugs?
a specific age? when you get married and settle down? when you have kids?
what's your thoughts people

Why do kids and a family somehow cancle out your personal choice of relaxation?
Sure, you may be able to indulge less often (as I imagine I'll drink less when in that situation), but as long as it doesn't harm anyone I'll be up for it as long as my heart and body stand up to the abuse.

jakoz...prob should have made it a bit clearer in my initial post...
I personally don't know when I will give up, having only just started really :) I haven't thought very much about what would make me give it all up. The reasons I listed were just there to promote discussion. I don't know if they are issues that other people would take into consideration with their drug use. I was interested in what everyone had to say on the subject.
cheers :)

To be serious......... for a change
Most probably when i find myself moving along with life, In a full time serious job, more like a career, not the full time piss easy job i have now. When responsability is more important i guess.
I danced with a 32 year old man at transmission still going hard

That’s pretty much my answer, but I have to add I’ll be up for it as long as it doesn’t negatively affect the rest of my life as well.

I don't think age matters when it comes time to cease your habbits.
It's when you have kids, when money is running out, when the bad times outweigh the good, etc.
At least one of those is going to come into play before you get very old. For some, they might be older... Others it might be younger.
:)

I woudld contribute to this thread, but whateva i say will be held against me and used by the Law (being Jakoz). I choose to remain silent.

^^^^
Now isn't that an extremely mature way to react.
If you have something constructive to say, say it. If not, keep your gripes to email.

That is contructive. The point has been made. Nothing else needs to b said. Maybe i should express my feelings too. i love u guys PLUR.

Just when i thought i was becoming a little too old for the scene, Ultrasonic @ GAS changed all my perceptions of that. At 23 i'd say i was probably one of the younger people there. However i *was* turned off by the sight of three middle-aged women there dressed in kandy...that definitely answered my questions of how old is too old.

^^^ so your picking on these woman, becoz of the way they were dressed, what makes them any different to the next kandy kidd??.. because they are older??.. how fair is that.. :\
Anyone from the melbourne scene, might have bumped into glowbug, this dude rocks most weekends and completely straight.. he would be in his 60's!.. props to you champ!..

Anyone else see the elderly couple come into Melbourne Park on Saturday night around midnight? They might have been a couple weeks early for John Farnham, but... you never know. :)
I think it's rational to assume that party drugs are okay until you stop partying, I mean after that, it would be a bit sad to see people rolling at Bridie O'Reily's (Irish pub in Melbourne) wouldn't it? :D
There's no reason why you couldn't keep smoking pot into your old age. Probably not too much though, else you'd be running away from black helicopters in the nursing home. Which wouldn't be a problem, except you'd probably get in my way when I'm chasing invisible rabbits.
