I know someone who is currently taking vicoprofen and they claim they take 6-7 at at time. They are developing stomach issues and are looking to get a 10/650 vicodin or whatever. If they take the same amount of that (5), it'd be 3250 of APAP which I'm sure will HOSE his liver eventually or sooner than later.
I was reading about NAC and suggested it to him, but I don't know how much to tell him to take or if it'll even help with 3.25 g of APAP. They say they are only taking it once a day, so they are technically below the daily limit of APAP per day, but isn't 3.25 g at a time too much?! Will the NAC help? If so, how much (oral capsules) does he need to take to offset the liver toxicity of the APAP?
Thanks in advance!
