I'm assuming something like mirtazapine taken concurrently with methylphenidate would not be known to potentiate it? (as it does with other NRI's like atomoxetine or effexor, where mirtazapine markedly increases the noradrenaline release)
But, basically to get a cognitive/energy boost, how much ritalin would one taken normally to see effect here?
20 mg minimum I'm thinking?
I know it and other stims like amphetamine can be prescribed to both chronic fatigue patients and patients with other conditions that precipitate chronic fatigue (such as cancer), to give them an energy lift.
But I'm unfamiliar with the doses in routine clinical practice for this purpose.
Thoughts?
