how much do you learn with each trip?

had my first psychedelic trip yesterday

3.5g mushrooms + couple beers on the comeup

it was incredible, almost unreal

what i took away from it is that the simplest things we overlook and take for granted can bring us ridiculous amounts of joy, and that the little things in life are important (i got a greater sense of understanding of that)

i don't know how much it'll my sober being, but i was wondering how much do you learn and apply to life with each trip? did you feel a profound life change after your first time?

Depending on what you call "learn".
Sometimes I get realization about myself, my friends, my life, universe in general. They are great things to think about, but maybe nothing special for other people.
Sometimes I learn new about psychedelics. :) And psychoactive chemicals in general.

I trip quite often, once each 5-7 days, so probably not much. :)

did you feel a profound life change after your first time?
Hell yes! :)

depends, sometimes i will realize "facts of life" or notice small things about other people that i may not have before, but the small details will say a lot about the person. of course thats why you have to pick who you trip with wisely, for best results.

Great to hear you had a good time! :)

Your question is a difficult one to answer for me. Some my most profound trips didn't have any immediate effects to my beliefs or outlook on life, yet took months of reflection to integrate the magnitude of what the experiences meant. There are separate events that caused me to understand things about previous experiences that I had not realized before. In a way, I have a better understanding of what happens during a psychedelic experience and what it meant to me now, sober, then what I understood years ago when I was that little kid actually tripping. Learning is a process, and the potential to grow off your experiences is endless.

I still venture into the psychedelic realm from time to time. The only difference between now and when I first started is that now I don't believe psychedelics give people the ability to learn any NEW information that wasn't there before, yet it only allows you to become aware of things that were already there and already existed within you. Psychedelics give us the perspective to look at things from a different angle. If used correctly, they can be one of the keys to unlock the chest that all of us process. :)

Take care <3

I get them with every trip, the more frequent I trip the less volume of "profound" insight though but still of the same character

for me, the best trips feel like the best holidays you could have. relaxing, rejuvenating, and you come back with new powers to face everyday life.

not all trips feel the same, not all are very well timed. it also feels like the more distance appart they are, the more you save up for a chem, the better it feels when the experience finally comes around.

i dont think i ever woke up the day after a trip and went to work on chaning myself or the way i lead my life. but i do come back with a smile on my face, joy at being here and happy to have friends and family around me. i guess the changes are subtler in me than others.

When you feel the time is right, delve further into the rabbit hole, you will feel more than the joy of life. Mushrooms and acid i have had some incedible trips, but only dmt has really made me think differently in life, respeckt every being no matter who they are and be happy to be alive and touch, feel, see, hear. After a trip i think ''We so lucky to experience life and all its awe'' even if u do spend countless hours on a laptop or are living it up on the beach :)

I have come down from mushroom trips making immediate changes in the patterns of my everyday life. It usually isn't sustained though.

I've tripped many a time and don't recall ever sustaining something from a trip, then again I don't exactly expect myself to and as a result find it less likely to happen.

i think this is what is happening to me. its been a couple days and i'm noticing the little important details more often and connecting them to the situation i viewed them in. watching criminal minds is a perfect example of this i think
