Being arrested isn't something to be proud of, and it's never fun. But, as I was growing up I had a problem with authority. I came from a good family, and I had that teenage/young adult ego.. and I thought I was above the law. I've been arrested several times, and it has SUCKED! I've had 2 written arrests, and 5 arrested where I was sent to jail, and I'm 21 atm. My last arrest was in February, and it was a record crippling one. I have a private attorney and he has gotten to know me personally. Since I was under the influence of either ecstasy lsd oxy or cocaine (or all 4 at once..) during almost every arrest, I had quite the god complex and thought I could run from the cops. Almost every one of my arrests is complimented with a resisting arrest charge. I used to be quite the nihilist so I never gave a shit. I'm a pretty prestigious student with a 3.9 gpa and my AA, and was about to go to law school to become a lawyer, but because of my arrests I can't go back to school for a while. I'll probably never be able to go to law school or become a lawyer.. so I'll have to rethink my career options.

Since this is a drug forum and I assume we all like to imbibe which often leads to trouble with the law, I would like to hear about your arrests. Has it ruined your life? How did you deal with parole/probation? I'm wondering how it has affected you guys so I can weigh my options and see if there is still hope for me. Yes, I've been an idiot, I know, but I've been trying to give back to the world by being generous and helpful to those I don't know.

I've never been arrested, I was searched once but I had already used it all, all gone, drugs aren't for sitting on.
The law has ruined my bf's life however. But I guess that's what you get when do something like murder.
By the way I like your user name :)

Three times;

Once when I was 19 - my first day of college, literally four hours after my family left from moving me up there.

The second - also when I was 19 - was during a drug bust on my dorm room that broke some town records. Not an easy accomplishment, given the university I went to. Not proud - almost got sentenced to 12 years in prison. My lawyer, in this context, simply must be the legal reincarnation of a deity.

The third - also when I was 19 - was for a third-tier DUI.

Formative, deeply dark years, those.
Well, that.

I feel you. When I was arrested in february I was caught tripping balls on acid, with 64 roxies which is a trafficking charge... 3 years prison sentence MINIMUM! I got lucky.. and I guess the cops liked me, so they through out most of the evidence and gave me possession instead of trafficking. I took it as my last lucky break, I don't want to end up in prison.. I'm too pretty looking for a boy, I'll never make it in there, I'd end up killing someone in self defense. I now realize how stupid I have been.. and I'm willing to change, and I have changed, but I want to make it last a lifetime this time.

arrested once not long after turning 18 for possession of stolen property obtained by crime, I had bought a hot atv and got caught with it but didnt get nothin since it was my first offense.

only once for numerous drug charges, but never convicted.

in the end, I lost respect and about 2 years of my life.

i now get hassled at the border :(

i think i was 15 when i got arrested for disorderly conduct. i paid $50, went to a 3 hour long class (almost got thrown out for falling asleep), and it was expunged.

probably had at least a couple dozen encounters with the police since then with consequences ranging from a stern lecture to being locked up for an hour, but no arrests.

My record stings these days shit isnt cool. 3 DUIs, Felony posession w intent ketamine in a school Zone-my gfs roomates who i sold acid and ecstacy many times and who all smoke weed called the cops on me when they saw me cooking it. they left the apartment said they were going to the waffle house and called the cops and unlocked the door. umm terr. threats, paraphanelia, oh and throw in a fucking false alarms charge for setting of a smoke alarm in
college with a cigarette. I however have never been to state prison 10 mos. in jail, rediculously easy probation and leniant judges. i believe its god giving me too many chances. next time its up the river and its gonna be years im trying to keep things on track but shits rough out here

Once, and having nothing to do with drugs.. All charges where dropped and nothing came of it. I got lucky..I hate pigs and rats after reading previous post..

Jesus, more times than I could even begin to remember, all of them either shoplifting or drug posession related. Enough times to go through the whole array of penalties starting with a caution, conditional discharge, fines, probation and finally prison, serving two sentences of 3- 4 months apiece for breach of probation doing Heroin detoxes inside. I'd go through spells where I could get away with things for months and months but every single time I got nicked there'd be a further 3 or 4 arrests in a matter of weeks so was always a fair few charges outstanding by the time the case came to court. It's only because I was clearly intelligent and articulate and not otherwise disposed to criminal behaviours that I managed to avoid prison for so long I think, my first sentence being some 6 or 7 years after my first arrest with probably a good coupla dozen convictions and a coupla breached probation orders under my belt by that point.

ive been arrest about 20 times for being drunk , but only had a few charges , arson , malicious damage , assault and shoplifting . ive got 2500 dollars worth of fines too :( ive got 3 pending court cases , one for the shoplifting , and 2 for 2 different fines (both train fines) .

thank fuck im only 17 tho , everything except my fines gets wiped when i turn 18 and im a good boy now lol .

I against i:
Uh, that's kind of what I meant. But, I would never let that happen to myself. I'm quite fearless, if someone was trying to rape me I would fight them off to the death, whether it be mine or theirs. You don't know me, so you wouldn't understand, but I wouldn't hesitate in killing someone if they tried raping me in prison.

I think prison, at least in the US, is a lot different than it was even up until the mid 90s. I've heard people say the only ones that get raped in prison want to be raped. Thats a fucked up statement but don't borrow anything you can't pay back, don't disrespect someone unless your ready to lock in a cell with them and knock them the fuck out, and watch where you walk. I've been in some very rough county jails you learn to be hyper-aware when you do time.

I was arrested 2 times. First time was a DUI and posession of a CDS; got a PTI and a year of probation. Second time was for embezzlement; I did four years in prison for that. Never trying to go back there again.

stay that way my friend...you're still young and there tons of fun things to do and not get caught..lol..hope u have a good lawyer, they can do wonders..best advice if you haven't learned it already is NEVER say shit!

With the amount of arrests in here... who managed to take from them something that later spurned change? For me, it got me into exposing myself to various means of recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction. I lasted about three years and eventually relapsed, but without that initial exposure, coming back this time around may have been virtually impossible.

I'd love to see discussion of how people's arrests have effected change in their life, if any one is able to relate to my experience, or alternatively wants to share one of their own!

Five times. 1st time my 30th B-day for finally gettin nailed writtin my own scripts for my Rx painkillers. I knew a damn good criminal defense attorney that postponed my case 6 months to get my massive habit under control, which I cut back by 1/2 after no longer forging scripts. I went to PC1000--a drug diversion class 15 wks long with random testing, which I finished and aced, but only cause I wasn't doing illegal dope at the time--and while I was getting legit Rx dope from different docs, I showed the testing dude my Rx bottle so when I did test positive, they let it pass. After that, my case was sealed, meaning whenever I went job hunting it wouldn't show up on my record when they did background check. My 2nd arrest happened 11 years later, this is where it gets fun, but got to bail to work & will post more when I get home. I have been charged with a felony involving meth, but not convicted because I completed Prop 36--which is great to say I have no felonies--but any future job that runs background check will see I was arrested 2x for meth and 2x for probation violations---but not convicted. To be continued.....

None, but only because of the way I look. I've got caught red-handed fucked up with drugs before and been let off every single time. Cops like me for some reason, maybe cause I look like their kid.
