Opioids How many times have u been throught WDS ( taper included ) ?

Opi withdrawal is pretty easy imo. Been through it a million times. Get mentally ready for 3 really bad days. If you wanna play for big money, alcohol withdrawal is the game for you.
Yeah see this is what I am talking about.

It's how many times you were in situation in which u had to go through WD process

Current status is def-con 3 of tortured, raked, raped, given the choice by health issues... "You can take the window or you can take the stairs..."

Just joshing... the withdrawals get worse the longer you stay on them. PAWS gets worse in long-term treatment. I lost count of WD's. I got lost in the system.

Recently during a 32bpm 36hr bradycardia event they hospital won't give my all my meds (9qty that cause withdrawals). They reduced my MME by 325 MME instantly, Clonindine 0.9mg, Lunesta 3mg, Ativan 2mg, Vistaril PAM 200mg, Cyclobenzaprine 30mg, Toprol 100mg, Lisinipril 40mg, Diltaziem 240mg. Pulse went to 170bpm sustained for 1hr and the junkfood vendor nurses were snacking

Bought caught a felony mad throwing chairs and slamming the 350lb firedoor at 4am-5am and yelling at nurses like I was playing in a college football finals home game. Uber or give me death discharge. My PCP said ,"Jesus."

I shamed them on my way out there was not Dr's orders for "medication management" but it was written on my board. I was going to go home and take all of these medications to get rid of these withdrawals so I do not understand what point they are trying to prove. Stupid medical training, I shamed them. I told the heart the doctor I will not enter the hospital without a contract signed that I get to have all of my Rx's and my doctor's high risk patient letter that I am under his care as well."

User of opiates for back pain for 15+ years. Abused them every time - ran out every month. Went through withdrawal at least 30 times. The dopamine dive is the worst. Physical stuff was like a really bad flu for about three days. Then all was fine. Mind, body and soul all reconnected and working happily again. (I am a person of strong faith and can easily make myself emotionally happy.)

Thought I could handle some 7-OH (after two years of no opiates. Pain patients, do not ever move to Alabama!!!) because I was a long-time opiate user and thought the withdrawal would be the same - easy. LOOK OUT. That shit is the big bad wolf. The restlessness was off the charts. In and out of the bathtub five times a night - horrific mind screw. Stay away from that shit if you have to use something for more than a week. Bad news.

Each body is different and will handle missing that drug in different ways. It got easier every time for me. Last time I withdrew from Percocet, I barely even noticed the symptoms. And I was on hefty doses - 6 #10s per day. Hope you're doing ok. If you ever have suicidal ideation again, please reach out to someone. I'm here. [email protected]

I drank for a short period of time, heavily for 3-4 years. When I was really going, I'd be drinking ~25 drinks per day, generally liquor like Vodka. I have withdraw from Alcohol twice.

If Opioid withdrawal is longing, torturous misery, Alcohol withdrawal is a waking psychedelic nightmare combined with a panic attack.

I have fully been dependent upon and withdrawn from Heroin/Morphine 10-12 times with many intermittent episodes of one or two days of withdrawal when I couldn't get my drugs.

I have tapered and withdrawn from Methadone 3 times in my life. 2 were moderate-length tapers (~3 months) while another was abrupt.

Ask me anything kiddos.

I dunno, like 20?

Once from tramadol.
Twice from oxycodone.
At least eight times from heroin, equally many from buprenorphine.
Couple of times from mainly fentanyl, but promiscuous poly-opioid use.

No offense but Oxycodone 60mg is not a hefty dosage. I am at 4 times that now of Oxycodone Hydrocloride IR (Roxicodone) 210mg (7qty 30mg) and was at 300mg (10qty 30mg) daily.
I'm very glad to hear that. I can't imagine stopping what you're taking. You must be in some unbelievable pain. I'd probably be up to that much if I could find a damned doctor who would help me in this state. They all want to be better Nazis than Hitler. Thanks - take it easy!

I have been through opiate wd more times then i can count. In the past i have been addicted to oxycodone, morphine, dilaudid and fentanyl. I also came cold turkey off 6mg's of clonazepam a day in the psych ward involuntarily. That and 150mg's of morphine at the same time. I cant even remember the wd's which may be a good thing

My Methadone is down to 40mg and it was at 80mg with the Roxicodone.

When I was 7 years old chronic migraines and cluster headaches started and went on until 22 years old. I got so many headaches from 7-10, that I was fully opiate dependent by age 10. This just progressed and turned into degenerative bone disease & auto immune. I have a lot of surgeries under my belt and a lot of recovery time. I am almost 50 now and have been taking opiates & opioids since age 7 with only 2 years off total all broken up over time.

My goodness. I'm so sorry! And doctors say opiates are not for long-term, chronic use. Gawd, they suck. They have no idea what we go through. How bad it gets. If they could just experience real pain, just once, they might have more empathy.

Take care! Nice chatting with you!

How long did it take to feel normal after 6mg kpin wd? Fuck opi wd, it’s a breeze compared to the drawn out progress of benzos.

Im not entirely sure as i was in the psych ward and didnt have access to any meds, was going through opiate wd at the same time, and was also psychotic and had cotards syndrome at the same time. So it was hard to tell what was what. When i say wthout any meds i really mean without even the basic stuff like loperamide and ibuprofen. If you asked for anything like that you where basically told to fuck off and stop bothering the nurses.

When i got put on antipsychotics finally my stomach and everything was all fucked up but it was hard to tell if it was from benzo wd, opiate wd or whatever. But that was 3 months on so i dont know. I dont really remember anything about the acute wd's at all.
