how many relapeses have u had?

this is for the guys that have bin clean for lets say atleast 6 months or a year how many times did you relapse til you finally stayed clean that long? and if you can also tell me what made you say that was this is my last relapse?
 
I've relapsed countless times probably 20 or 30. You know what the AA/NA thumpers say, "relapse is part of recovery" I would have to agree with that!
 
I haven't been clean for as long as 6 months since becoming addicted... I think the longest clean time I've had is only a few weeks. But I've tried countless times to get clean, and have relapsed on every single occasion.
 
if you mean 6 or more months clean between EACH relapse, then only one (or two if you count using a different substance as relapse).
 
Except for being on sub, I haven't had six days let alone 6 months clean. I've relapsed on sub quite a few times. Every time it gets harder.

I relapsed after close to 18 months off of heroin and more than 3 months off of suboxone. That was the longest period I've been away from anything since I've been physically addicted. I haven't had that much away time in a while now though.

I think the most clean time I've had from heroin over the last 2 years is around 12 weeks. I had around 5 weeks clean from everything at one point in 2008.

me also the longest since i started heroin when i was 19 which now im 24 the longest ive bin clean is 3 months and it was not long enough i still fecking felt like shit so i caved but im goin for another round i got 6 days : ) 1 witout subs im suffering tho sheyyyttt its tough
 
I have no idea. Fucking heaps. But I'm going alright at the moment, I've had quite long stretches from certain drugs. I occasionally use my previous DOC, but I would never go back to the lifestyle I once had.
 
How long does there have to be in between each use for it to be counted as a 'relpase?' Probably hundreds of times! I have only managed to stay off for longer than 6 months once, 4 months once, 2 months maybe 4 or 5 times. Ah well, thems the breaks.
 
If by relapse you mean being sober for AWHILE and starting up again, zero. First time getting clean and ive been sober for 4+ months.

But when i was using I'd "quit" every other week only to use 3 days into withdrawals.
 
Never. When I have decided to stop a drug, be it smoking or stimulants or alcohol or benzos or whatever....I have always done it no problem, usually cold turkey.

I guess we will see if opiates are any different, but of course its different when you are actually in pain.

yup i think opiates is alittle difrent then the other drugs u dont really egt bad physical w/d's from but still is hard to quit so hopefully ull make it
 
My problem isn't how many times I've relapsed, it is how long it takes after each relapse to quit again.
Just one use causes withdrawal whether it has been 2 years clean or two months clean.
Any relapse always turns into another year of daily use minimal.
These last two relapses upped me first to the level of occasional iv use and second to daily iv use...

I'm really scared of where it will go next relapse after this stint of clean time if I don't quit for good.

I'd love to know how anyone can quit Benzos CT no problem, unless your talkng about very limited occasional use.
