How Long to Wait to Take Another Dose of Valium After the First?

Hi, I've recently been taking Valium for an assortment of ailments and I have the 2 mg pills (very low I know) and I took 5 (10mg) at once and got a decent, but very short buzz (an hour'ish). I decided to take 5 more after 1.5 hours but I'm not even sure if the buzz increased or even came back at all.

I know Valium has quite a long half-life (20 hours correct?), does this have anything to do with it?

I'd also like to mention I have high tolerance for controlled substances since I have been on them for at least a decade (pain killers included) for serious medical issues.

I guess my question is, how long should I wait to take another handful of pills?
Or should they take affect and enchance whatever buzz I already have?

i would wait 2 days then take 20mg. or you could take up to 30mg right now and have a drink or two. but no more than 2 drinks. personally if I only had 50mg or something I would take it all in one night, even with no or very little tolerance. but with no tolerance don't just take 50mg and drink 4 beers. prolly be fine other than retrograde amnesia but don't do it. you could end up in jail or dead.

so I say take 20-30mg and drink 2 beers.

Diazepam is supposed to last a long time. You probably are just past the "reinforcing" part of it.

It has active metabolites so you'll be feeling it for some time.

I was never terribly impressed with diazepam, so if you aren't getting too much out of 10mg, then I wouldn't continue to take more and more unless you have a small stash and don't mind not having any left.

Basic dosing questions belong in Basic Drug Discussion (BDD) - since everyone will have a unique opinion on when to re-dose I'll send this over to BDD.

The option of waiting is probably best.

taking more diazepam afterward doesn't really increase any euphoria you may feel from benzos (I personally don't)
The prescribed time is to does every 8-12 hours.

Since Diazepam acts quickly but last quite a while, I would spend like 30 minuts seeing how you feel after dosing and adding 2-5mg every 5 minutes since it is quite easy to tell after 5 minutes how the diazepam is doing.
