How long to become physically addicted to clonazepam?

I have been using clonazepam at 0.5mgs for about 5 weeks for just about every day. I take it because I'm currently addicted to tramadol and the dose I take of tramadol (+400mgs) puts me at a risk of having a seizure so having 0.5mgs of clonazepam in my system helps to keep me safer from seizures than otherwise.

I'd like to ask you folks how long it takes to get physically addicted to tramadol, whether from your personal experience or what you know. Unfortunately, I want to get off tramadol, but I need clonazepam to help me out during the tramadol WD (I would bump clonazepam use to 2mgs/day for 1 week during tramadol WD as I find that's how long it needs for the worst of the tramadol WD to be over).

I'm contemplating several options of how to withdraw from tramadol, but I need to know if I'm still OK with my current clonazepam use (0.5mgs/day for last 5 weeks) to not be physically dependent on it yet, and how long I'd still have left before physical dependence to the clonazepam would set set in.

Thank you

Stay at the lowest dose of clonazepam. I cannot say definitively how long it will take for you to become dependent. What I can do is tell you about my clonazepam dependency.

I took 1mg - 1.5mg everyday for about 2 months. Coming off of that cold turkey is the worst withdrawals I've had yet (worse than opiates, Xanax, stems, etc.). The only thing that comes close is my Gabapentin withdrawal. If you truly need it, that's fine. Just be very careful and DON'T INCREASE YOUR DOSE. Less is more with clonazepam!!!

It really only takes me about 2-3 weeks at 1mg a day.
I'm on 3 months and have been tapering my 1mg to .5mg. It's been tough, but life is still enjoyable.

Like the above poster said, don't increase your daily dose. It's basically like digging a hole deeper only to get the same effects.

Everyone is so different. It's not like there is some specific time when dependence sets in. It happens gradually and varies greatly from person to person. Having said that, it is pretty likely that taking clonazepam every day for 5 weeks has given you some sort of dependency. The longer you take it and/or the higher your dose gets, the more dependent you will become and the worse withdrawals will be when you try to stop, so if you're wanting to get off it before dependence gets too bad, the sooner the better. When you do want to stop it, taper off it gradually instead of stopping abruptly. If you absolutely need to raise your clonazepam dose in order to get off the tramadol, try to take as little as possible and only for long enough to get over the tramadol withdrawal, then reduce your dose.

My ex wife was hooked to Tramadol and she needed to go to rehab.
As for being dependent on clonazepam its possible after 5 weeks.
Taper off the Tramadol slowly and you should be good, then do the same with the other

just dose every other day, kpin has a long half-life. i take .5mg every other day, sometimes i take 1mg but that is the most. a couple months ago, i had to switch doctors and lost my scripts meaning that i would have to cold-turkety kpin. well, i just did a taper to .25mg every other day, then was done, very little WD if you do it right, but if not you are fucked@! hahah

If you need to take a larger dose to get the same effect as when you started taking them, then you are physically dependent.
If not then you should be able to taper off them quite comfortably.
