I took about 12 hours ago 50mg diazepam and I have no benzo tolerance right now but have used a lot of benzos.
How long does it effect? It turns into nordiazepam which has the half life of 100 hours or so and then turns into temazepam and oxazepam so that would mean that it would be in my system working to calm me for at least 100 hours am I correct?

I have also taken 200mg of caffeine and 20mg ephedrine today does that change anything?

Yes the caffiene and ephedrine do change things, they are both uppers. You've been using benzos but you have no benzo tolerance. That makes no sense. And why did you take 50mg?! Thats way higher than the reccomended dose. You should have been asleep ages ago. it's 100 hour half life doesnt mean it puts you out for that long. If you're not asleep I would blame the uppers!

50mg isn't a huge amount if you are a past user. and OP, the positive effects of valium do not last anywhere near 100 hours. there is something complicated and confusing about its half-life and the half-lives of all its different metabolites, but the relaxing effects of valium last a few hours just like all the other benzos.

thanks for the reply's...I just took 30mg ephedrine and 300mg caffeine with 10 beers because I have been going through a lot of tought times

@maddog...I believe op was saying they don't think they have a tolerance now..but have used benzos in the past..

@OP: Sorry, to continually repeat myself..but benzos (among other drugs) + alcohol usually end up making tough times tougher. You said it's been 12 hours though..
and you've ingested ephedrine and caffeine since...
the diaz is still in your sytem.though you may not be feeling it much anymore..
but if you'd swallowed 50mg w/beer...I'd have to come smack you or something...
see how it can make it tougher?? :)

I am a a fan of both ephedrine...
and valium and I have a deep long standing relationship...
not alcohol though.
yes, this all makes sense in this brain of mine.

That being said..sorry for what's ailing you.

As with most things is varies from person to person.

When i had little-no tolerance 40mg would knock me out for 12 hours!
