how long do your high's last? (merged)

It's true. I rarely stay high for a long time, maybe like 30 mins to an hour max. I generally need 2-3 bowls for a good high that doesn't last too long. When I mixed alcohol and herb, I used to get the spins so bad, once i was in a bathroom for two hours, one hour was spent just dry heaving. Now, I almost have to mix the two just to get messed up. I don't really smoke that much, just once at night on the weekends. I'm not sure what caused this.

Even if used weekly, tolerance develops, THC will stay in your system and builds up with usage. That's probably the cause here.

About the foil, try to avoid smoking of off foil too often, excessive usage has been linked with Parkinsons disease. Do a search either here, or at google, it will turn up with something.
 
even tho my tolerance got higher, my highs still last for about 2 hours, and if it's bomb then 3-4 hours...
 
i started a thread earlier discussing the reverse tolerance of weed. and if you smoke 4-5 times daily then i can only see myself, having done this when i was starting out, only actually getting high once a day, then just smoking and keeping a degraded/hazy buzz goin. now my suggestion makes me a hyprocrite, but don't smoke everyday and you will get not only an extended high but a more pleasant one. its the not smoking everyday part that doesn't sound good.
also, this is from hear-say, my friend runs, and he said after bustin his ass runnin and just rippin his lungs up goin as far as he can, he'll come home and its as if his lungs are opened up or something and he gets ripped out of his mind, he's a daily smoker as well. good luck man.
 
I do it about once a week and get about a real hour of high and then another hour of just a nice buzz... then the post high which doesn't feel anything like being high. "less is more" ;)
 
Usually 2-3 1/2 hours... I'm glad I'm not too tolerant. :D Then if I smoke more, it doesn't just add on, it get's me higher... I don't smoke alot all the time. Just on occasions, when I'm ready for an experience, or to have a good time with a couple friends. Nice idea for a thread. :D
 
Back when I smoked way too much weed I'd stay high for about 30 minutes. Now I am RIPPED for 2 or 3 hours and gradually start coming down from there...it takes 6 hours for me to sober up totally and even then I feel damn good for a day. I smoked yesterday and I still feel good.
 
lately ive been concentrating on enjoying the "whole" marijuana experience, not just the peak. so now when im smoking, i smoke until im so high im dizzy, then i just ride it to the ground. no re-toking, or wutever. ive found that the very peak is after about 20 or so minutes, and i just nicely float to the ground after that.

i find that usually after about an hour and a half i can still feel the effects. tho it depends on the weed that im smoking. however, the first time i ever got high (haha waaaay back in the day) i was high for almost 5 hours...i dont know exactly why this is, but i think it probably has to do with lipid deposits on thc receptors
 
yeh it's weird, i never really take into consideration how long i'm stoned for... just when i can move again smoke a bit more =D
it's good smoking during the day because you think a bit more about how long the high lasts, seeing as you can't just go to bed... you're forced to experience the stoned feeling gradually going away. then, unless you smoke more, you feel really shit. haha... well that's what i think anyway.
 
Jesus. I just started smoking again after two years of clean time.

I feel like my 'high' highs last for a good four hours, but i'm sort of in a daze
for the next day or so.
 
It all depends on your tolerance and how often you smoke. The more frequently that you smoke, the shorter the high is probably going to be due to tolerance. Either lower the frequency that you smoke or just smoke more for a better high. I personally love just smoking more, hehe...
 
if the buds are good and i take a couple bong hits
i can stay high for a 2-3 hours :)

potent brownies keep my high for like....5-6 hours

it depends on the bud...

i've had bud that has hit me right when i'm passing the pipe
i've had bud that hits me 20 minutes later etc.

Normally, shwagg lasts an hour and then i feel burnt out... but with top-notch weed like Kush etc. i feel really stoned for an hour, and then i just feel really great/mild stoned for 2-3 more hours.
 
If I smoke from a joint, I stay high for about 20-30 minutes. After that I feel somehow disappointed, but relaxed.

If I smoke from a bowl, I stay high for maybe one hour. And I feel more refreshed.

When my bong was not yet broken, I had been doing DXM a lot. Then I used to be high for maybe 1 hour 30 minutes at least, and then I would smoke more :)

Oh LOL, I noticed that if I smoke late night, the high is a lot shorter, because I focus getting to sleep.
In afternoon I can enjoy it more with more time :)

Reading this thread makes me appreciate my non-existing tolerance. I rarely have a high where the peak lasts less then 2 hours. I only smoke good stuff as well, as after a few years of smoking I've started to become much more picky about the high. If I'm going to smoke, then I'm not satisfied unless I'm flying.
 
post #101, lucky me! When im smoking i usually end up smoking every two hours of the time in the day im awake(if im trying to make it last for a while) And this seems to do the trick. Problem is with opiate addicts a lot of complications can occur from doing this without knowing what your starting/triggering. Yes i usually only smoke out of things that are water filtrated and only primeO quality hedge gets burned
