ok now at least once anyone who IV's sometimes gets in the vein you get the flash of blood but then you lose the vein again...im just wondering how long its ok to leave that blood in the syringe before the shot is useless?

Lots of times ive pricked myself a few times and the solution ends up with a lot of blood in it so I just throw it out coz im paranoid about getting a blood clot or something...is there anything I should be worried about?

I'ld say you can use the shot within the same session, i.e. try again a few times if needed, but dont put the syringe away in your handbag and come back to it in a couple hours sort of thing.
It's just a bit difficult to see if you've got another flash of blood if its already bloody which is tricky part

In the past I have emptied the bloody syring into a spoon and lit a lighter underneath, the bloody part turned brown and solidified and separated from the mixture, then I sucked it through a filter into a clean syringe, not sure if thats good or not tho, but it's what I have done, and I got high, lol.

eh, safely?... i've had old blood in my syringe and not really given a damn... the thing you just have to be aware of is that more bacteria and shit could be in it... it won't directly harm you but you might get sick later

Not true ^^^^^^

To the OP, its fine. I wouldnt do it if it has been like 15min+ as some bacteria might start to build up after that.

but before 15 minutes i think it is all good.Just a bit harder to register, and a blood/oxy shot missed would SUCK IMO.

i read that you could give yourself hep from your own old blood

u r joking, right. if serious please don't spread that kind of misinformation on here. did u read it on yahoo answers?

viruses like hep and HIV are spread through blood to blood contact. So u'd have to get a drop of blood from someone who infected. U can't get it from the air, just from the blood of someone else. Possibly from other bodily fluids, but direct contact only.

actually someone once told me you could give yourself hep c from your own used needle, I looked it up and yeah not true, but I have heard people say it before so I'm not surprised s/he had heard that too.

As far as having trouble "registering" by seeing more blood in the syringe. I have found the best way to tell that i actually hit the vein is to pay attention to any bubbles in the tube getting smaller. Or make sure there is a little air in it b4 you try to stick again so once you hit it will start to fill and get smaller. It might depend on your rig for it to work.
