Heroin how long b4 gettin off methadone to feel the dope again??

im new to the site an i havent figured it out yet... but i wanted to see if anyone would know how long it takes before your last dose of methadone to feel the effects of the heroin again fairly high dose each time i guess 5-7 bags at a time??

i heard so many different stories.. i heard 24-36 hours all the way to 2 1/2 days... ive done in in less than 2 1/2 - 3 days before so im wonderin your experience.

do any of u know anything about this??

I think what you're asking is how long after stopping methadone can you start feeling heroin again, right? If so, it all depends on whether you were taking the methadone daily as a maintenance tool or just sparingly. It can take anywhere from 3 days to 4 weeks. The reason I say this is because when I was on methadone maintenance, it took me 3 weeks before I felt heroin again. I was, however, on 120mg a day and stopped cold turkey due to financial issues. The general rule of thumb is to wait until the withdrawal starts setting in, then you should feel it, if not a little, because of the receptors becoming available again. Methadone, not unlike suboxone, floods your receptors to a substantial degree. If you used methadone only once, I wouldn't worry about the heroin not working after a day or 2.
 
why not type this into the search or google and find the other 10 million threads like this.

And I'd say it depends on the dose...If I take 60-120 mg's one day to avoid w/d,and do a shot 24 hours after the juice,I dont get anywhere near the full effect.
 
Like poppy said the time can vary grately, when I was on methadone I could always feel my heroin whilst on up to around 50mls of methadone, anyhing over that and I wouldn't get much of an effect

If you read the first post and through the thread a bit I think you will find an answer to your question. If not then feel free to ask again in there.

Remember methadone doesn't blockade as actively like buprenorphine but just builds up in your system due to a long half life flooding your receptors and skyrocketing your tolerance when taken daily. How long it takes to feel something will really depend on the duration, frequency, and mass of your dose so be sure you include that info if you ask again though we'll all just be guessing from information gleaned from that thread anyways :)
