3 days ago at 3pm I took 35mg of methadone, then at 6am the next day I took 5mg of methadone.
I tried drinking beer later that night, but could only drink about half a beer before I felt my blood pressure just DROP. So, obviously being scared of the potency and insanely long half life of methadone (and it's notoriety for lethality), I knew I needed to wait befor I could enjoy some beers.
It is now almost 11pm, but I stayed up all last night on a total of 135mg of instant release adderall.
I slammed an entire beer a few hours earlier but couldn't notice any changes in blood pressure because the adderall was still in effect.
Just 10 minutes ago, I tried drinking another beer but felt another drop in blood pressure. I can not differentiate whether this sensation is simply due to combining alcohol with fatigue, or whether the methadone is still at active levels in my system.
I know the half life of methadone is 24-36 hours, but does this really mean it remains active in the body days after taking it?
I would like to enjoy some beers to help the adderall crash, but don't want to quit breathing.
My rate of breathing right now feels lower than 8 breathes per minute just from drinking half a beer, but my pulse is still above normal levels from residual adderall left in my system.
How long do I need to wait before I can safely start drinking beer?
I rarely take methadone, occasionally take other opiates, and frequently drink alcohol (about every other day).
I weigh 250lbs
