Iv always been attracted by drugs, when i was Younger (im 16 now) id watch those documentries about cocaine & heroin with huge fascination... their point was to make sure you never even think about trying drugs but for me they did the oppisite.

When i got into secondary or middle school as americans call it, i made friends with same interests as me, Rock music & hippie culture. I got introduced to hashish , cannabis, & weed. For almost the next three years i settled for that. Then the summer before my senior cycle or highschool... my interests changed. I really enjoyed EDM & house music, often id hear ecstasy in the lyrics. Jay-Zs empire state of mind he mentioned "MDMA got them feeling like champions".. that was it fo4 me i HAD to try them & i did after a year of trying to get hold of mdma & lsd i finally got some at the end of may this year.

I cant even emphasize enough on how mdma changed my life for the better, i look at everything differently now, with more love & appreciation.

I was later told that mdma was just a happy uplifting drug & that there were stronger drugs that would allow me to see visuals & morphing objects etc.
So i read up on a lot of drugs on forums like bluelight, drug forum & erowid but i noticed that the users of the likes of Dmt, salvia & lsd were older in their late 20's at least.

I got my hands on 40mg of 2cb last saterday but was told by the dealer that he wouldnt personnely do it if he was my age, why? Will it damage me psychologically in a bad way? Not just the 2cb but my drug use in general.

Also i just wanted to add that i only do drugs about once or twice a month during a year.. more during october (mushroom season ^-^ ) & summer. I was also told by a very UNreliable source that mdma makes you less likely to get pregnant easily when older -_- is that true?

Welcome to Bluelight, May!c:
In my personal opinion, age doesn't matter when it comes to drug use as long as said user is not REALLY young like below 13.. I started using drugs at 12, I am 18 now. People are gonna do what they're gonna do, drugs happen.

Age can matter depending on the drug. Any age can handle opistes but not many 13 teen year olds can handle a dmt trip. I started opistes at around 13 and I always get my feet wet when I can. Luckily I escaped addiction. But the younger you start the harder it is to not use.

The "danger zone" for mental health conditions is around 16 - 25. This is when your brain is developing from an adolescent brain to an adult one, and it's the period where most people with mental health conditions first start showing symptoms.

Our understanding of how mental illness works is still a bit "chicken and egg", and there's a lot more factors involved than drug use (such as genetics, trauma, attachments in childhood, etc). But drug use in teenage years is correlated with onset of mental illness in people already predisposed to it.

I'd advise waiting a little while to get into heavy drug use, just to be safe. I certainly wish I had. You're not really losing anything by waiting a few years to experiment, even though it feels like forever at your age.

Keep in mind that at your age, your brain is still developing. And introducing such strong chemicals not only can change the way the brain works over time, but it can introduce things like mental illness as well. I would personally wait, because the chances of something bad happening I think is greater for you than it is for someone whose brain is fully developed.

Thank You for replying, Im trying to not do certain drugs for addiction reasons & i wish i could hold off the idea of trying new stuff but i find myself almost always thinking of them cause im so entrigued by them.
Whats harder on the mind, salvia or Dmt? as in which is more controllable??

I find salvia entirely unpleasant as do many other people. DMT is not really "hard on the mind" ; it's a chemical that's widely found in nature and even produced by the body, but I wouldn't make it a regular habit. If you're going to use it, and I'd take it over salvia any day, use it for introspection and not as an escape, and don't abuse it.

I guess it´s important to know that if you start using drugs to soon that will interfere with your growth, muscle mass, voice, and most specifically; your liver.
And the chances of having mental disorders like BPD, among others increase significantly.
Of course it depends a lot on what drug you choose to start using. Alcohol, coke (crack) are the worst in my opinion.

Honestly I think drug use is fine at your age (I'm 19 so not really one to talk), but in moderation. Our brains are still growing so if we're high all the time it will definitely stunt development, but casual drug use won't have too big of an effect, at least not to the extremes that heavy drug abuse would.

In a sense age is a crucial issue: The human brain is not fully formed until age 24 and if a person engages in heavy usage of particular substances prior to that age it can irreparbly alter the brain. For example, opioid receptor interaction and assimilation will never be normal and that can have a detrimental affect on a whole range of physiological issues. If a person were to first engage in heavy usage at age 25 or above they would be a whole lot safer.

i started everything around 13 and im 21 now and have been diagnosed with ptsd and depression. Granted, a lot of thats from things other than drugs but I know for a fact, they didn't help. I remember when i was at my worst on drugs around 15-16, I started feeling different in my head, like hearing voices and thinking i was crazy, so in my opinion, you should not only take ANY type of drug in moderation, but wait a little while to start. You also need knowledge and common sense for drugs.
