For those who asked or suggested that a C/O to Valium or another benzo with a longer half-life would make tapering easier...the answer is probably. Some people don't tolerate a switch well. The only reason this isn't an option for me is because my doc doesn't believe in kindling and also doesn't believe 3-4 months use is long enough to need a taper. He says just stop.
Being down to 1 mg daily, I'm more than likely out of seizure territory. Typically that's from higher doses over longer periods of time, if you have TBI, or a pre-existing seizure disorder. Tremors and jerky muscles can be a scary experience tho.
Ive tapered 50% in about 3 weeks which is almost considered a rapid detox. Most suggestion a 5-10% reduction every 2 weeks. I'm managing well for the most part so far, but the past 4 days have cropped up some challenging WD symptoms.
