How good is your local pot?

I live in Ohio, and after smoking weed in Florida, Texas, and DC, I gotta, say I think Ohio has got the best of the 4. I know it probably doesn't compare to the buds in Cali or BC, but I can tell you this:
WEED IN FLORIDA SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I just wasn't getting the right hook up( I think I was, cause my buddy lives down there and he smokes every day, which makes me think that he'd be kinda picky), but the smoke I got down there was nasty! It was brown, dry, didn't smell like the pot I'm use to, and was full of seeds.
DC was decent, got some pretty Beaster's.
Texas was crap too, it was definitely compressed poop from Mexico.
Has anyone else sampled buds from different regions too? If so, where was the best, where was the worst?
 
I know the best pot in the area. It's pretty damn good. Usually a homogenous, same batch-to-batch medium green/light orange bud. But in the past two days and probably for a while now, it's been different. Still the same quality but a different looking bud with a slightly different smoke, and high. We call good pot here (20minutes SW of Philadelphia) "NUG"

Oh, yeah. Compared to Pittsburgh, the buds we get here are amazing. Pittsburgh has some good pot, I've had it, yes, but it's not as good as our good pot here. That's all I can really compare it to
 
NOTHING but smelly stinky dank weed in my circle of acquaintences in Philly, PA. Havent seen mids or lesser in over a year.
 
Good stuff down here in South Texas. Mostly chronic, some of which is from cali. I've also come across purple haze.
 
Here in Dallas, we usually get the really dank shit, but sometimes some fuckers will try to sell off beasters as dank, and since they look like dank, you'll be like "wtf? two bowls and I'm barely high?".
 
Here in the NYC area it seems to be hit or miss. Their really isnt too much in the mids area. The bud is either nice (really really nice) or incredibly shitty.

id have to agree. it seems like the people here will either only deal with the lowest quality they can to optimize profits or the best stuff they can find in order to spread the love. :)

anyway, the best weed i ever smoked was in poland. not a single seed, no stems, the bags were heavily packed, and youd have ot be hardcore to finish a bowl. if weed is your drug of choice id say its worth the risk to smuggle it aboard the airplane on the flight back.
 
nenarOPI...that wouldn't happen to be in the bryn mawr area is it? Cause I was visting a friend there @ college and had some DAMN nice bud. I brought back a cut of this stuff back home (erie) and everyone who tried it loved it.


As for the best pot in a region, contrary to a former post here, I had amazing weed in Florida. It was practically blue and all crystal. I was higher and more fucked up then I had ever been before.

Weed here in Erie varies. I just bought a cut of some great shit about a half hour ago, smoked half a bowl and I'm decently stoned. I've gotten absolute shit that smelled like orange juice, was damp and wouldn't smoke or get you high at all. It was like smoking a used teabag, sucked. Like I said though, it varies greatly. Not a very stable town.
 
the best pot i ever had i got when i was in pougkeepsie, NY. I was up there to spin some party at vassar and had some fresh homegrown stuff. No seeds, small stems, big green buds. Lots of crystals, etc. I smoked 2 bowls of it and was high for like, 12 hours straight.

In philly though, it's all about who you know. I've only been smoking good stuff lately, but i have run in with weak shit in the past.

Local weed isn't too bad out here in Ottawa, alot of Chindro though, no offensive to any asians, thats wt we call weed growing by the chinease. But i haven't piked up some chin in a long time.

My Buds are jurrasic (land race strains) Lotsa good M buds and alot of Out door blueberry, primo outs. Not scrub schwag\

hey! my girlfriend lives in poughkeepsie. thats rather interesting. ill have to get her to grab me some bud one time.
 
Out here in Norther Cali we got the best shit you can find. In Sacramento the orange crush is runnin wild, SF there is a lot of Grand Daddy purps whe hole year has been good lots of Purple too
 
I life in Holland my local weed is very good the coffeeshop in my town i always go too has weed as good as the best coffeeshop in Amsterdam loads of homegrowers as well that sell there weed at home that's a lot cheaper and if you know the right people you get the same weed as in the coffeeshop for 2,5/3 euro a gram , in the cofeeshop you pay about 6 euro :)
 
I really don't understand why people compare locations when talking about the quality of weed. It's a widespread misconception and has a very weak base argument: my dick > than yours. There's even a few conflicting reports within this thread, and there's not even that many replies yet.

The quality and price you get your mj at depends on a few factors:

  • Strain
  • Method used when grown
  • Handling of marijuana during transportation
  • You/your dealer's connections
  • Availability

For example Mr. Bignugs visits Ohio and wants to grab some good mj. He goes to Mr. Dealdo and says, "i want some good shit yo." Mr. Dealdo gives him a bag of stems, seeds, and leaves because he wants to save the good shit he got earlier from Mrs. Dealdo. Mr. Bignugs gets disappointed and then exclaims on BL that Ohio weed is garbage and don't ever buy from there because they all suck. Mr. and Mrs. Dealdo smoke the good shit they have and then go on BL to argue with Mr. Bignugs about how there's only bOmB ChroNiC in Ohio.

No matter where you are, there is shitty shit and there is goodly shit.

South Texas. Lots of widow, even came across some of the haze before. Some guy is supposed to get the Sour Bubble, but we'll see if that happens.
