How good is your local pot?

I think it all depends on who you know. My city has the shittiest of the shit, and some of the best of the best (if you know the right people, luckily i do).

There is probably grade A+ and F weed in every city.
 
Terrible. The only weed anyone else around me can get is utter crap. Luckily I know a guy and smoke the best buds anyone has ever seen. Ever.

fuck our weed here in central canada is probably the only stuff i can confidently say rivals BC weed.

In winnipeg its flat cold and boring. We have -40c winters and the same goes for summers, but vise versa. Our weed however, is something of a flattering respect of our city.

It comes in many flavours prices sizes colours and highs, they range from killer to killer :P and everything in between.

You find shwag, but thats just because of all the asian, sorry for the reference, gangsters who go and buy plots of farm land and endup with 40,000lbs of what we in winnipeg call PUCK. Its basically moldy shit weed that has crystals and fuzz that people try to pass as crystally but just so happens to smell like fucking grandma.... I hate the shit and urge all to avoid moldy pot, for it gives good greens a bad name in general.

The pot in my area is good nothing special but good i'd say. now the bud is Am grade widow, and zindica ice, all grown expertly
 
I don't care about the quality of pot unless it's extreme schwag. I'd rather buy an OZ of beasters (basically decent pot smuggled from Canada) then an OZ of high-grade that costs double. You just have to smoke a little more of the beasters to get high, it's no big deal.
 
Pot here, in the very north-east of north-east England is.....variable. From local sources, ie; the dealer down the road etc. it's....well, variable, like I said. Sometimes good, sometimes shit.

But if I can be arsed to drive 30 mins out of town to the nearest city, it's guaranteed to be amazing, so it's just a case of effort really.
 
The weed in my area (northern ontario, canada) sucks most of the time. Nothing but terrible schwagg buds, I think americans call it "beasters" has a lot of orange hairs and looks good, but smells like hay and gives a shitty buzz, its our equivalent to mexican brick weed.
 
I get pretty dam good weed where i live in south-west UK...i get really chronic weed usually, and at worst i get good-mids. I know there is crap weed where i live (same as everywhere) but generally good-stuff is plentiful, and that's all i'll ever buy.
 
I think at the end of the day if your on BL talking about marijuana you most probably have the contacts and experience to get good weed :)

Having said that, as others have said here in Perth Australia the weed is great, even if I need to hook up on spur of the moment I can get something pretty decent at worst. Usually the way you get ripped off a bit is through the amount you are sold when buying small amounts of ppl you don't know so well, but at least you'll get high the night you buy it :)

beasters are far greater than mexican brick weed come on. one cost $10 a g the other $2, and if you've smoked both you know there is really no comparison, but I get what you're saying.

I'd love to live in a place where that's the worst weed I could get.

UPDATE: I got some weed today... and it got me high! I love the pot in my area ;-)

Mr. Penis I'm from upstate NY, and there tends to be some really great shit here, especially in the fall when the outdoor gets harvested. That said the same applies as for NYC -- it's either kind frosty nugs or brown stalky shit.
 
Yeah anywhere you can set up the right equipment you can produce wicked heady doob. That gives me an idea. Maybe I'll pack up a little boat full of top grade marijuana growing supplies and go to some really out-of-the-way place I know can't possibly have good chronic, like Greenland or the Falkland Islands, pretend to be a geologist, and meanwhile hook a big chunk of the population on some of the kindest green imaginable. Sure beats huffing methyl ethyl ketone. Get real chummy with the people running the place and publish some bullshit books on geology, so they wouldn't ever suspect.
 
I personally think Tasmania (aust.) has some really nice bush weed as there are lots of places to have big crops and minimal risk, but also some great Hydro =D

  • Strain

  • Handling of marijuana during transportation
  • You/your dealer's connections
  • Availability

For example Mr. Bignugs visits Ohio and wants to grab some good mj. He goes to Mr. Dealdo and says, "i want some good shit yo." Mr. Dealdo gives him a bag of stems, seeds, and leaves because he wants to save the good shit he got earlier from Mrs. Dealdo. Mr. Bignugs gets disappointed and then exclaims on BL that Ohio weed is garbage and don't ever buy from there because they all suck. Mr. and Mrs. Dealdo smoke the good shit they have and then go on BL to argue with Mr. Bignugs about how there's only bOmB ChroNiC in Ohio.

No matter where you are, there is shitty shit and there is goodly shit.

This is very true, but the one thing is that location does matter. I cant remember specificly why, But i do know its got something to do with the equater. But then i guess that only would apply to outdoor / bush buds. But everyone is going to say the stuff they get is "the shit" or what ever. But from what i know of (a mate travelling around the world getting what he could taste) He says we underestimate our own weed, seeing i havent had the opportunity to try some from other places i wouldnt know. But he said its on par with amsterdam, thats good enough for me. (SA - Aus) You can pretty much always get a great ammount for a great price, even from dodgy people. Plus i heard the stuff in brisbane is 3x the price is that true if anyone knows?
