So in my very layman's understanding of this, the substance i'm currently fooling with (dextroamphetamine IR) mainly releases dopamine which is already made and stored by what you've eaten (the amino acids in protein specifically) and mildly traps it in the synapse for a little longer (slows reuptake). Also some norepinephrine but lets leave that out for now.

My question is how long does it take the food you eat to become usable dopamine? In my experience, it feels like if I haven't eaten enough (both protein and calories in general) the day before, the next day will have diminished effects regardless of dosing, even if I ate plenty throughout the day of dosing. Do we know the answer to this or is it perhaps one of those things that's nearly impossible to measure/one million variables? Rough answer?

Cheers in advance for any input
