How fast does dopamine depletion occur with 5HTP

I really doubt that 5-HTP causes dopamine depeletion.

Tyrosine doesn't increase dopamine levels unless you are protien deficent.
 
You should reiterate your question and Ask how long it takes for thé brain to run out of phenylalanine as it is the precursor to all the PEA neurotransmetteurs naturally present in the brain because of in what mesure the 5-htp intake blocks other amino acids intake at the BBB, that being the initial cause of dopamine déplétion, (if there is any, which sekio seems to doubr) along other neurotransmetteurs when a supplément such as 5-htp is taken.

No part of your body should ever run out of any amino acid. If they do then you are generally pretty fucking malnourished.

Phenylalanine is a part of the protien that every human consumes everyday, it is required to make protiens all over the body after all.

What I was trying to explain is that when you have a bigger intake of say 5-Htp the enzymes that play a role in decarboxylase don't necessarily filter beteren 5HTP and other amino acids thus if there's too much 5HTP eventually there Will be a disequilibrium in the levels of serotonine/glutamine, pea etc. So if you take amino acids without it being equilibrated eventually there Will be a lack of other neurotransmitters compared to the normal need and An increase in the neurotransmitters created by decarboxylase and further metabolism of the taken amino acids. Because of the stagnant levels of decarboxylase enzymes that don't filter what they decarboxylase. Right? So yes, you won't "run out of dopamine". But you Will suffer from a lack of it. Which is running out of dopamine. Now for how fast that occurs, God knows
