Ok so after months and months of looking for a doctor who is willing to prescribe me benzos, I was written a script for 1mg of klonopin taken once daily as needed for anxiety. The thing is, I legitimately do need it EVERY day. After being off benzos for a few months, my first 1mg klonopin put me to sleep until 3AM after which I couldn't go back to sleep. Now 5 pills later (once daily, I don't abuse this medication as I genuinely have a severe anxiety disorder) I don't feel the sedative effects anymore, but my panic attacks have been kept at bay (for now). My concern is, with my tolerance growing this rapidly is there any way I can slow down the process of buildling up a tolerance? I fear the panic attacks may come back and it's a debilitating condition to deal with. It was hard enough finding a doctor to get a script for 1mg clonazepam, I can't imagine him raising my dosage when the time comes as we all know doctors fucking hate prescribing anything to anyone anyway (assuming it's a scheduled medication).

Keep in mind I'm NOT looking for a sedating effect, I'm simply illustrating how quickly the lethargy went away after taking one a day for five days.

as above, the tolerance to the sedating elements of benzos can wear off quite quickly, of course depending on which benzo it is the tolerance to the hypnotic effects may take longer to stop but with clonazepam in particular it is fairly quick. the anxiolytic effect (aka the panic stopping effect, which is what you're looking for) does not develop for a very very long time. clonazepam remains effective for treatment of anxiety for a long period of time before you have to start increasing the dose. the longer you can maintain yourself on a lower dose the better as you don't want to be taking massive doses.

lots of people attribute hypnotic effects to the anxiolytic effects however it simply isn't the case. because you're not falling asleep it does not mean that the clonazepam isn't working, quite the opposite actually, its now working as intended.
