How does this marquis reaction look? Weak? Cut? Bunk?

Hi, BL! I've tested this molly three times now because I just can't decide whether i'm satisfied with the results. As you can see in the video, it reacts black with purple (I think I've seen a little bit of brown in all tests), but very weak. I'm thinking MDxx + a small amount of amp? I know I really need to get a complete kit!

I really can't see anything wrong with that, I'd take it if the crystals were consistent with what they should be.


Really do get one of the Dancesafe or Bunkpolice type of dropper bottles... a LOT cheaper for one, and it's a lot easier to visually identify what you have.





Just take it easy, but that looks all good to me. Cuts with amp/meth in them will almost always flash a bright orange for a second or two, then turn black with a deep "rusty-brown" around the edges

Thanks, Folley! I'm not really in the swing of using testing kits yet, so I get very uncertain if a reaction isn't what I think to be solid. Looks like I'll be enjoying these some time soon.

Yeah, I dont see anything wrong with it ether.. They issues have have with those "contained" test kits is that you cant control the amount of regent in them. I use the Dance safe Marquis myself. I can take a tiny amount of what I am testing and ONE tiny tear drop sized drop of the Marquis test on a white plate.... That way I don't get results like yours where it wants to try and looked watered down.. I'm sure that if you put more powder in there it would all turn black / purple .. but the ratios are off..

I see bubbling (reacting) without color change (followed by color change. That is NOT good for molly.

Could be baking soda.. could be BZP. I would personally toss it, cut your losses, and look for something that reacts better IMO.

That's some fucked up molly. Thank you war on drugs.

I don't have much experience with that kind of tester, but it seems to me the slow reaction would indicate a weak/adulterated substance.

The color (at the top) looks right but the slow change and the non-uniformity in color worries me. If you look closely, you'll notice that the bottom of the liquid stays clear while the top reacts and it all looks a little swirled. Might just be my imagination, though.
