Do you work out heaps?
Watch everything you eat?
Detox as regularly as you can?
Or just take heaps of drugs and party a lot?

I have found being in my 20s i have had to watch what i eat more and more as the years go on. It's annoying the hell out of me because i have gone from eating anything i want and remaining a good small to medium size, to now struggling to maintain that and tend to easily lose track of it all and before i know it, i can't fit into my Aus size 10 pants anymore!

I tend to have a good detox every few months which wacks my shape back into gear and then i manage to maintain that for a few months before it starts to catch up on me again. I really don't wan't to be one of those people who have to watch every mortal thing i eat to keep slim, but it's looking like i am gonna have to. I am currently detoxing, so for the first time in a while feeling pretty awesome again. I am curious to what others do, and if they enjoy it, find it hard etc etc. I want to see if watching everything you eat gets easier as time goes on... or is it always a constant struggle?? Back when i used to work out a lot, i was in great shape but i don't seem to have any motivation anymore :( but either way, my metabolism isn't as good as back then so even if i was working out as hard, i believe i still would have to change my diet.

Anyways, discuss what works for you and if you're happy.

Haha, yeah that sure works well! But now that i don't take them anywhere near as often as i used to, i have to resort to other ways. Unfortunately.

Umm for something a little more constructive...

I have massive issues with my body "image" and keep myself "in check" constantly.

BUT, if you are obsessive about it, you need to stay realisitic about it all.
Please PM me if you are losing touch with the images that are realistic.

Oh, sorry if i came across obsessive about it. I am far from it trust me. I am probably a little too relaxed because i know i still look good even with a few extra kilos. I am just thinking about when i decide to have kids, if i don't get some sort of routine going now before having them i am sure gonna find it even harder after having them.

I am very realistic. I don't expect to be a size 6. I think i would die at that size personally.

My weight's been stable for a while, although not really where I'd like it to be. I watch what I eat pretty closely most of the time, split my meals into 6-7 a day, workout 2-3 times a week at the gym (aiming for 3-4, but that rarely happens), ride my bike to work a few days a week and take at least one longer ride on the weekends.

I'm trying to lose the last 6% body fat to get me down to 10, but it's slow going. I think that I probably have to tweak my diet some more. All in all though, I'm not unhappy with how I look. And incidentally, judging from your lounge pics, I'm not unhappy with how you look either. Many women would kill to have your appearance.

Personally I've been wary of 'detoxing'. Eating a clean diet, with no refined carbs, lots of plant food, mostly good fat, and plenty of protein should keep things pretty tidy. The key is 6 meals a day rather than 3. If you're trying to stay slim, you should never feel full, but never feel hungry either. And find a fun physical activity that you can do regularly, it will help heaps to keep you toned. I find that biking works well for me during the summer, but YMMV.

I'll repeat though: not that you need any drastic changes to how you look. If you want to tone up a bit, then that's up to you, but I'd personally say that a bit of maintenance to keep the physique that you have now into your later 20s and 30s is all that you need.

veganism.

eat NO animal flesh nor animal jizz/spew/squirt/blood/hair/milk/piss/shit/snot/etc. for three months and you will be healthier and smaller, guaranteed. I'd make a bet with anybody willing to try it, but it would be tough to monitor/prove. eat a variety of stuff, though. get a huge list of vegetables and try them all. dismiss this at your own risk; if you truly wish to be healthier, get on it. veganism.

Oh dear wait until your 30's:)

I started making changes at 32. I realized that being healthy and happy with my body meant taking care of it. I could not coast anymore on my metabolism and my yo-yo eating habits. Lose then gain. Gain then lose.

I quit smoking. I cut out junk food completely, processed foods, high fructose corn syrup, sugar substitutes, white carbs and anything that has artificial ingredients. I read labels. If I don't know what it is I don't eat it. I eat and COOK very well. At least 75-80% organic. I haven't been in a fast food restaurant in years.

I do about 30-40 minutes of high intensity cardio at least 3 days a week. I lift weights four about 30-40 mins 3-5 days a week.

I quit alcohol about 2 months ago.

It takes effort but once I made it a routine it is how I live. I feel great. I am embarrassed that it took me so long to get here.
Simple solution. Move more. Eat well not less.

I am a daily pot smoker and recovering binge eater.
You have seen me in the nudie thread.

Give up Honey? Yea right!

I look at a lot of food but I keep most of it out of my mouth.

i take heaps of drugs and party alot. i admit not as much as i used to. i'm 5'7" and two years ago i weighed 93 pounds. i'm at a healthy 110(?) or around there. i'd weigh myself now but i just ate and it would be inaccurate.

I'm a dedicated cyclist. Still, I'm also a glutton, and I've gained a few pounds in the last couple years. I could eat better (less) and get less alcohol calories.

and yet every blood test i've had done comes out perfect. veganism is not a must for good health. sorry to burst your bubble.

What works for men, especially younger men with plenty of testosterone to spare, will probably not work for most women (besides, I’m not into chicks who lift heavy 6-7 days a week)...

I would imagine that for most women, a good diet combined with cardiovascular exercise (and some weight training) would be very effective in regards to weight management. Although this sounds simple, many women find this to be exceedingly difficult. Of course, limiting your intake of fast absorbing carbs (refined sugars, white breads/white rice etc) will have some impact in the short term, but this is not really a permanent solution.

I eat mostly vegan, stay away from junk in general, as well as excessive salt.

And when I eat late at night, I wait at least 3 hours before sleeping. This rule of mine generally keeps me from eating late, which is bad for you and makes you all clogged up.

However, food is (at least for me) important for enjoying life. The key is to go for quality, and not to eat too much of the same thing (mega-servings). Just go with the flow actually, and get moving most of the day.
