Every. closet. heroin addict., Should. have. Life Alert.

best quote in this thread

honestly the only thing i ever did was wear long sleeves (or bigger shirts). if you have to go around hiding something its not really that much fun =/.

Heroin?

USE THIS DRUG AT YOUR PERIL! Your life will never be the same, everybody loses respect for you as you do yourself. Many of my mates have died off this drug and many are in prison because of trying to fund it.One of the nastiest drugs around!

I didn't. We had a mirror in the living room with powder on it at all times of the day. :|

I'm happy to say I'm 17 months clean from using heroin though.

Congratulations man, swim is trying so hard but he gets discouraged because the superflu kicks his ass.

I hid my heroin habit from my mom for quite some time. When she ultimately found out, she said shed suspected I was on drugs just never said anything. And didn't know what.

I used the standard long sleeve trick to cover needle marks, which didn't raise any red flags since I tend to wear a leather jacket a lot of the time. I also naturally have weird sleeping patterns so that didn't raise flags either. But the main thing that let me get away with it so long is she simply didn't know the signs. If she had id never have gotten away with it as long as I did.

You can't hide ultra constricted pupils, and they're a total giveaway.

I'm able to keep it together when I'm using around my family, for the most part. However, my face, I'm sure, has them wondering what I'm doing when they're not with me. Of course I get the opiate itch, so rubbing my nose/eyes, etc. is hard not to do...although I have tried zyrtec, since I found it in my parents medicine cabinet, and read on here that it can help lessen the itchiness. I think it helped a little bit, but I'm still itching and rubblng, so maybe I need higher dose...? I took 10 mg (zyrtec)...should I take more than this? I'm also having to put on lotion because I've rubbed my nose so much it's peeling...I guess I can blame that on the Arizona sun...lol.

Anyone else have any tips? It's mostly my face that gives it away...

I Iive in a hot area too; I normally say it's pollen or summer cold (especially if your nose is draining unless you get sticky). If I look tired or noddy I say I couldn't get sleep due to any reason your parents would believe. Use eye drops your eyes will widen and not look like you're on an opiate or herb. If you smoke it, use some nice smelling shit to cover it up like herb smoke or cig smoke. Use anti histamine like you do and try to prevent getting addicted :( I use it the times where I can't get pain pills or enough that is. So please don't get to an addictive state or else THEY WILL START LOOKING INTO YOUR ACTIONS, THE WAY YOU WALK, TALK, & EVEN SIT! Be carful man with that shit homie it's not for everyone and if you're doing it 'rec' like me; well keep it on a low and try to not use all the fucking time. It saves money and keeps your stash up as in you can save up to have fun on a rainy day. :)

It's easy to hide unless you're nodding out in public like a dummy. I would always use in the privacy of my own home, and I'd always look very well fed & rested when I went out in public because tar makes me hungry and I'd always get lots of good sleep. As far as the pupil thing goes, no one has ever noticed that or if they did, no one has ever said anything about it to me.

That's the thing, heroin use is nearly impossible for me to hide personally... Haha. Maybe for a while.. But as my tolerenace rises, and I become more comofortable with bigger shots, I start acting like a damn idiot. Nodding while eating at the table, falling asleep sitting up, slurring of words.. You know the drill... Lol. Some people can get away with it. I'm unfortunetly/fortunetly not one of them. It's a love/hate kindof thing for me.

I'm kinda just trying to maintain right now (or really to taper down, but it's tough), so it's not too hard to hide. I don't usually get high. Thankfully it's cold so I can wear long sleeves. But I also try to take as good of care of my veins as I can. I find that track marks are much less noticeable when a clean rig is used every time, and ointment applied after each shot.
