Mental Health How do you guys deal with stress caused by antipsychotics?

Antipsychotics gave me a good 4 years of very high quality of life. No illicit drugs, high work performance, and quality relationships. However, quitting them was next to impossible , caused mania, and destroyed all the good things I had going on. But on the upside, I got a lot of my personality back.

They are a trade-off depending what’s more important to you at a given point in your life. I’d rather not take them again but I would in order to become stable if necessary.

Akisthisia and restlessness. I think Haldol and some others feel like your blood boil.

I take Lexepro with mine. I was on shit Risperidone for years but switched to Abilify after it started making one or my nipples hurt. Also they were putting off a nasty stink that my dog liked so had to switch. Best choice of my life Abilify is so much better way less sides but it made me a bit more grumpy than normal so they upped my Lexepro to 20 mg and that worked grate.

While on Risperidone I would get extremely stressed out and turned to Kratom which seemed to help dramatically. I took it sparingly only as needed and never took it to get high it seemed to cure my anxiety. For a while there I was having panic attacks but I think that was caused by too much marijuana. Microdoses of marijuana though helped me a lot with depression but I don't recommend it. Kratom, cbd isolate, and cbg isolate seem to be there for me when I need them and that's all I need. I havent touched the kratom all day and felt fine so I know I'm not addicted to it. I look forward to taking it before bed along with cbd and cbg and getting some excellent sleep.
