how do i do amps without obsession

i like amphetamines , they make me feel euphoric and elevate self confidence in me, however it seems that they make me more obsessive about unimportant things. how do i enjoy amps without obsessions

I think that the best that you can do is pick something appropriate to 'obsess' over. You picked a key characteristic of stimulants' effects, perhaps an example of the paradigmatic increase in persistent linear thought. As F and B mentioned, the same neurochemical effect mediates both this cognitive effect and euphoria (although there may be partial dissociation in terms of neural circuits' roles).
Have you considered that you might not 'like' stimulants' headspace?

Get good porn an obsess on that, seriously the best advise I can come up with (other than don't do amphetamines). As FnB said, it just comes with the territory.

7 straight hours of looking at pornography is not as fun as it seems. i've experienced that numerous times on elevated doses of Adderall. anyway, i also would obsess about other bullshit besides porn. switching from Adderall (l/d-AMPH) to Vyvanse (d-AMPH) helped a lot with this. it's not 100% but it def. reduced that sort of side effect to a much-much more manageable level.

That obsession was the big thing fro me to use amps, i played my fender P-bass for days.
But, yeah, after the cathiniones were introduced i switched to porn.
Now i don't like playing on amps, music is better sounding when you are stoned.
There is no way to have stimulation without obsession, i even feel it on caffein, which have dopaminergic effect through A2-receptors(look wikipedia). If you like euphoria - then you should accept an obscession.

On topic though, the obsessive part is large part why I quit stimulants. Sure you can get things done and whatever you do seems so fascinating. But the catch is, the more you do something on speed the harder it becomes to do the same thing sober.

hmm...
as i said, i have done gobs of Adderall and then looked at porn for lengthy periods of time but this is a whole other ballgame. seems mAMPH is a little bit stronger than Adderall
PS ~ i'll have to admit, the twisted sexual side of mAMPH does intrigue me greatly. no, not like the stuff written by FNB but... i can just imagine the kind of gnarly shit that goes down when two heavy duty tweakers get together.

It can be said that Meth is responsible for an entire gay subculture ("PnP") and my opinion is that it hasn't been particularly beneficial for the community, either for the image or for the overall health...
There was even a HR website for it that featured a hunky-looking devil as its mascot . I'll look it up once I leave work (if it still exists...).
