Besides the addiction factor. How dangerous is oxy to the human body?

Is Oxy the same thing as H? I've never done H but people say that I might as well be doing H.

I have an injury that is 75% better. I still have pain and the DR has just lowered me to 6 (30mg) oxy a day and took away the norco all together. I have stock piled a bit of the norco as I think it will be helpful when I ( if ever) I try to quit.

So he reduced me from 9 to 6 a day plus I've been taking like 4-6 borco's a day. I no longer feel this very much but I am not going to up the dose.

Sorry about that info, my real question is how different is H from Oxy? Is it the same thing? And how bad is oxy for the body?

H and Oxy are so very different, whoever told you that is probably misinformed. Oxycodone is a synthetic opiate, it is a lot less powerful than heroin. If you use it like your supposed to I can't see it having many bad effects on your body, but I'm not sure about long term effects of oxy

Glad to hear that. I've heard that from several people.

Maybe because the wd's are similar?

Oxycodone is a drug that activates the opioid receptors. So is heroin. The two are not the same, though, and more importantly one should differentiate between diamorphine (the pure drug known as heroin) and what is commonly sold on the street as "heroin". (which is often crude poppy derived products, or heavily cut)

As a pure and unadulterated pharmaceutical, opioids are generally pretty physically safe in that they won't lead to, say, liver or kidney damage. Of course, you can still overdose on them.

By the way, sloew reduction of dosage should allow you to quit without feeling shitty at all.

I agree that oxy is relatively safe when takem as prescribed. The biggest danger is dependence/abuse/addiction. Of course if you take too much the problem of ODing is a huge one.

As far as oxy itself goes it is non toxic to the body. It does not cause any damage even after long term use. The biggest problems that come from long term use (besides dependence) is it can cause some changes in cortisol levels and testosterone. There is also the issues regarding changes in the pleasure centers...some people experience depression after long term use and then stopping...but of course that goes along with WDs.

Of course, whoever told you it was like heroin is just assuming heroin is the "devil". The active ingredient in heroin, if it were to be pharm grade same as meds are, would be no more dangerous.

oxy is very low in toxicity it takes very unreasonable even fatal to inexperienced users doses to start taking any dangerous toll on your liver it can kill you from taking a dose that is too high for you by way of respiratory depression as far as oxy being the "same thing" as heroin well they are two completely different drugs but if they are both pure like made by a real chemist in a lab they are very similar the only big difference to me is heroin is more sedating and oxy more stimulating also since i inject i'm one of the few people who gets a stronger more comfortable rush from the oxy

So I'm used to 200 -300 mg of oxy daily and that won't harm my liver. That's good to know.

Opiates aren't generally toxic on the body or liver within theraputic dosage range.

Probably not as toxic as tylenol for that matter.

Bit the addiction thing throws a wrench and a few pounds of double bubble in the gears..
