How come when I take psychedelics, it makes me paranoid?

The first few times I tripped on acid, I had a wonderful time. After that, I started getting really worried and paranoid and now I haven't wanted to do it since. Why is this?! is there any way i can fix it?

That's a very common side effect, and unfortunately, there's not a whole lot you can do about it. The best I can suggest is to try meditation or calming exercises both before and during and trips to help prevent it. You often only hear about it with party drugs, but you can "lose the magic" with psychedelic drugs as well. That's part of the reason I don't use them anymore.

I think that trips run on a system. Each one builds off the last.

When everything seems so new, you may misunderstand people's intentions.

Like when people record salvia videos, the tripper stops understanding why a person is filming because they are perceiving everything new and different.

ive had lots of friends who had a honeymoon period with acid, and then they started having lots of bad trips and paranoia so they don't do acid anymore

i had a REALLY bad acid related incident once, so i don't do drugs in general any more.
