Hi, i have just germinated a couple of plants and i am having trouble getting enough light to them (i put them on the windowsill and they keep leaning to the window) so i was wondering if it'd be O.K to take my little buddies outside?

According to the thermomiter in my greenhouse it's 5.1 Degrees celcius in there at the moment (it'll probably warm up a bit later in the day).

Will my plants die from shock if i put them out there? I want them to get enough light and i don't own any sort of HPS or other high wattage lighting equipmet, so keeping them inside is a bit of a problem, unless it's ok to let them lean to the window and then just turn them around when they lean over?

please help! :) thanks

p.s: the strain is a 100% indica if that helps

I just check the temprature again and it now says it's 6.8 in there

well i just put them out there in the greenhouse (it's 9.7 deg C in there at the moment) i hope they don't die of cold

This was a buddies plant growing just fine down to 31f and the cold brought out the colors.
He posted a crapload of pics here yrs ago.

You've already sprouted seeds to use for outside? That's a bit early if you're starting them with natural light. For one, you've sprouted seeds in a period with a light cycle that induces flowering in most cannabis plants. Second, if they're stretching and leaning to one side it means they're searching for light, they don't get by using those little scraps of sunlight you get on your windowsill, especially this time of the year, when the sun isn't shining real bright. Third, it's way too cold right now to put small undeveloped plants outside, they will die.

Get a couple of fluoro's and put them under there. It will definitely keep them alive for another month and a half or so, which you're going to need, because that's around the time you want to put them outside.

^ thanks blowmonkey :) I've had them in the greenhouse for the time being (bringing them inside at night time), they look ok, and have straightened up... i put a fan in the greenhouse to keep air moving so hopefully they will strengthen up a bit.

I will almost certainly get some flourecent lights in the week, again, thanks for the advice.

p.s: with the flourecent lights how far away should they be from the seedlings? i don't want to burn them

The fan will definitely help strengthening the stems, that's good, especially with a bit of stretch going.

When you get fluoro's, be sure to get the good ones. You only need coolwhites since you're only gonna use them for vegging. Fluoro's don't get all too hot, with a fan added you can easily put them at 2-5 cm's from the canopy, the closer you can get them without heat problems the better. Set the timer on 18/6 and watch them grow.
