That's what everyone says... EVERYONE. I said the same thing. Hard to wear short sleeves these days- sucks with the weather getting warm.

Before actually using it? Not much you can do. Not sure where you live- but regionally there are differences- powder [white/tan/mix], tar etc. If you live in an area that is known for tar and you get powder- you might want to be suspect (vice versa). Like most drugs- until you actually do some, you'll unlikely to be able to tell.
The easiest way to tell- snort or smoke some. Seriously, you'll KNOW right away whether you have good, mediocre or shit. The high is immediate. Not like downing a pill and waiting a half hour to see if it kicks in...
Major "good" signs- immediate puking, saying "oh fuck" multiple times, nodding out...

He's dead and rotting too- don't forget that. I've had three good friends die of ODs- that was before I even tried H for the first time- wish I had paid more attention. Yeah, yeah, opiates are great- it's part of why I still do them besides the fact that w/d sucks ass, but... if I had to do all over again- I'm sure I'd make the same damn choice, wish I could say differently though.

Start buy getting drunk as fuck and swallow some benzos, if this isnt an option find something that will mellow you out and combine it with alcohol. Lots of it.
Now find a room where no one can hear or see you and rail the entire bag. In fact rail two of them and inform no one of what you are doing (they'll call you a junkie).
Now you like Layne Staley and millions of others will be really high.
Or, you can follow the advise posted above and save your $20 (your hospital trip and or funeral/burial will be expensive too)

If recognizing quality smack was as easy as just looking at it, all dealers would have to stop cutting the stuff so much. Try a tiny keybump or smoke a similar amount. If you get a nice buzz, you can decide if you got your money's worth. Tar is a lot harder to cut than powder and on average tar tends to be slightly more pure as a result. If you've never done smack before, don't drink or take benzos when you do.

Everyone who does smack for the first time always say I swear to god I'd never put a needle in my arm thats for junkies. But go ahead try smack for the first time & in a few months when it's just not fucking you up like it use to, let us know your position as to wether you would ever shoot it...

NoriegA, not always true. The first night I did smack we drove around for hours looking for needles/shooting place so I could IV. Unfortunatly were unsucessful and had to wait for the second time :-(.
Also snorting can take up to 15 mins or maybe a little more to kick in...just don't want anyone snorting saying im not that high and doing three more bags before it hits em.

I say this a lot but its true from my experience.
I live in an area where the best quality in the country has been reported (some of you know where that is.)
Most dope you find in powder form comes from chunk. If I have the loot then thats what I pick up. The chunk is the raw form before the cut is put in. Even when I buy ghetto bags in my area , you can still see the specs of chunk. Actually if you take a bag , open it and tap it lightly , the pure chunks will fall out and the cut will stay in and you can do a line of pure if you wanted to , but like i said , this is in my area.
