Opioids How can I lower my tolerance? (1g of oxy per day)

i don't understand how people can afford habits like this over the long term.

my advice is to give plugging a try. i used to have to take 120mg at a time to get high, but i would only dose once a day. tolerance for me built exceptionally fast, and i only used on weekends, and not even both days either. instead of taking 120mg orally tho i could get away with plugging about 90-105mg and it would feel equivalent. maybe try giving that a try. you'll also find the high to last 2x as long compared to ur average high of 2 hours when snorting.

the longer u keep doing oxy like you are the more the "magic" of oxy will disappear. if you truly love oxy, then you'll hopefully try to force yourself to take a break and taper down. i took a break for like 3 months or so once and my tolerance hardly dropped. i was shocked and really disappointed. i'm on another oxy break right now, and as much as i want to use again, i feel like the longer i wait the more chance i'll have at lowering my tolerance, but some of it i think will be somewhat permanent. i dont think i'll ever be able to get my rocks off on 30mg anymore, but maybe with time, who knows.

I haven't used oxy in 8 months (very sad, i know), and am starting month 9 right now. i'm hoping to see a significant drop in tolerance, but we'll see. i'm thinking of planning on starting back up on oxy for special occasions over summer hopefully if the finances are in order.. (thats another issue).

Congrats on not doing Oxy for 9 months. Unless you're in pain, why would you wanna start back up?

I used to be addicting to ~ 1.5 grams a day Oxy IVed. Here is an example of how it would be financally feasible.

Get a doctor to rx you ~120 to 160 oc80s a month. Have good health insurance cover that. Come up with an extra 1000-2000 a month to fill in the gaps when you have no rx. Simple as that. Even a 21 year old kid can do it. The hardest part is finding that doctor, and making it to the appointment looking decent and not withdrawaling your ASS OFF.

Anyway, The only way to lower your dose is to take less opiates. I know you don't want to hear this. Consider methadone....

I would of already switched to h if I were you. I don't recommend that though atleast with oxy you know exactly how much ur ingesting. I recommend suboxone or methadone taper.

because i love the oxy high, and i don't think i could ever part with it for life. ive never been physically addicted to oxy. but i feel like the feeling it produces is very good for special occasions.

There are few options in this or any other similar scenario but the ones that are at hand are pretty damned effective:
Tapering:30percent reduction every 3 days is supposed to be the ideal - if not lengthen the time you stay on a dose.
Naltrexone:In microgrammic doses (12-15mcg) naltrexone is a medical marvel, potentially resetting tolerance preventing it from hurtling up again and in some cases stopping withdrawals dead in their tracks
Proglumide:Another miracle in a bottle it is designed to act on cholecystokinin receptors to reduce tolerance often by 75percent maximum
NMDA antagonists:Ketamine Dxm etc all are NMDA Ants. use them very sparingly to reduce your tolerance, also consider dosing magnesium supplements

god i was iving 600mgs of oxy a day at my peak... it was Awful...

this girl needs to get on methdaone or sub and just stop taking oxy.. before it kills her

I think this thread has pretty much ran its course, and its starting to get fairly off-topic so I'm going to go ahead and close it. OP, feel free to PM me if you have any issues with this.
