We move and groove and cut loose from fear, we kil
Just wondering, always heard the myth where if you have an airbubble it will kill you...obviously this is not true or I would be dead, but sometimes when I shoot I'll slip out of the vein and there will be blood and I would pull the plunger back 3/4 units and re-register, then shoot, so I was shooting some air those times. This happens once in a blue moon when I'm doing it and I'm just wondering, how bad is this, or is it even bad? Was always scared my vein would explode from the air or something...

Hey, I've heard the same myth but thankfully it's not true or I'd be dead a million times over! I had a mate, who worked used to be an ambulance paramedic, tell me even 5 units of air in a standard 1ml wont hurt you but not to be done all the time. Hope that helps :-)

Provided you dont hit an artery, it would take a LOT more than even a full cc (100 units) of air to do any damage.

You're complete alright. I've survived an intentional 150CC air bolus
My BP was jack as well as my pulse, and I thought I was having my death rattle, but alad, the bolus was intravenous as opposed arterial.

Agree with those above, injecting air can kill you but it would take a lot more than a few air bubbles. Of course, you shouldn't just go out and IV small amounts of air just because you can. Best to avoid doing so when possible.

OP, a simple Google search or the BL search engine should answer your question and that should be the first stop before creating a thread :)

I have never used needles so take this for what its worth but I have seen addicts shoot their dope and push an airbubble or two into their arms with no ill effects.
