How an Attractive, Undercover Cop Posed as a Student -- Then Entrapped a Smitten Teen

Yeah hes right, with Harper (aka lil bush) in power, Canada is racing to catch up to America, soon we will be the next country everyone hates if hes around much longer lol. But as to the article, I really dont even know what to say. That bitch cop needs a serious slap upside the head. Then again most of them do.
 
It is still far worse here in Japan.
In Tokyo, if you go into a head shop, you will be searched within 2 minutes of walking out of the door.
They also randomly search people - especially those that look "bad", such as those with rebellious fashion, or foreigners - near subway exits, or on the streets.
Anti-cannabis posters in the subways and at schools, showing people what it looks like so they can snitch on their neighbors (though the photo they use is of some pretty skanky herb).
And if you are caught with some weed, watch out. Years in jail for a half gram. Even for the famous and rich.
 
how could a drug user best prepare himself for these ridiculous sweeps of students?

how could we as drug users help each other faced with these possibilities*? many of us on bluelight are students...

* you may call me paranoid, but they have shown they are willing to bash heads, dump mace, and more to "political undesirables."

entire asian continent seems like a sketchy place to get high from what i've read..
 
I don't smoke here in Japan. I don't even know anyone who has any, and the laws are just too crazy for me to want to risk it.
I go to Amsterdam or the US or the UK or somewhere else once a year or so, and usually manage to smoke when I am there, so I have to be content with that. Very unfortunate. I would like to smoke weed every weekend, if I could, or more often.

Just because he got her some pot as a present because she asked him for it like alll week. I didn't click the link to read the whole article or anything, but if this Justin character gave her the weed, and no money exchanged hands, how exactly is he getting arrested for selling her weed?

...Something that, odds are, he never would have done, had he not been asked about it, or had a crush on this "student." So who's the real bad guy here? Justin or the "student" that coerced him into getting the weed to begin with?

I guess he'd officially be charged with "distribution", so it doesn't matter if he did it for profit or not. From the Florida statutes:

So then I was watching the Hamsterdam season of The Wire and the cops couldn't charge certain people there because they had told them it was OK to sell drugs in certain areas. This was called "entrapment". I'm wondering if anybody knows what entrapment actually is, specifically? Why is it not entrapment if an undercover cop tells you to commit a crime?

 
@ qwe simply put, you CANT. Just accept that no matter the efforts you make there is some chance the cops will get you. If you are willing to touch a drug, have ever downloaded/watched/listened to anything pirated, or are even willing to communicate with anyone involved in any degree of criminal activity, they can get you. We kinda gotta accept it. Be as careful as you can, but know that despite those efforts, it's still the risk you take. Hell, even if you don't take the risk they can still fuck you over (this guy, however, did take some degree of risk that would normally be negligible, but still present) Though, I wouldn't worry about the unpredictable too much. Not to say that's any comfort to the unlucky ones. But worrying about friends or even partners feels like worrying about acts of nature, it's impossible to account for everything.
 
unfortunately, entrapment is permissible in many US courts now. I listened to this story on NPR just a few days ago...I couldn't believe my ears, either. I hope you all vote. You can't say this pisses you off if you are eligible to vote and choose not to.

The more time I spend on the internet the more I realize how fucking lucky I am to live in Ausrtalia.
I really feel for some of you Americans, we all have our douchebags and goodguys, seems we mostly hear about the bad side of things there.

Thank god this shit doesn't happen in Australia, and I can go to the hospital without any money and still get all of the attention I need.
 
i'm a little paranoid, now... there was a large lsd bust a few miles away a while ago, and my lucy dealer hits on me every time i try to buy from him "you know, some people say they find my dreadlocks attractive" :S
