In my opinion, cocaine is a great drug to use only occasionally for fun, without serious risk of becoming addicted(as long as your atleast slightly strong-willed and dont have a HUGE amount of cash to support a massive cocaine habit). Whenever ive done it (over 50 times) I think of it like this.....
I DO get addicted to it, but only while im on it.....you know how it is when your doin line after line and your feelin great, and when you start to fiend for some more you just bust out another line....until you run out of coke (and maybe money)......then you start feeling like shit(unless you got benzos or something similar to ease the comedown). You start wishing you could have just ONE more line, or you start thinking of ways you could get more....shit like that. You basically are withdrawing from coke and the comedown isnt fun, especially if you did alot for a long time.
BUT.....that comedown I just described isnt really that horrible...I mean....I would pick cocaine withdrawal over opiate withdrawal ANYDAY. Ive even begged for death a few times while in the midst of a heroin detox, but the worst ive done while coming down from coke is wake my dealer up to see if he would front me 1 line until tomorrow.(he wasnt happy)
Anyway, my point is that the addiction aspect of cocaine is very short lived and much less severe than many other types of drugs. Also, in my experience, whenever I would do coke, there was always a certain point that I reached after doing "X" amount of coke, where it wasnt really doing much for me anymore, and my nose would feel like someone poured cement into it.....these things would make me stop taking lines, even if I had a bunch left to do....and that says alot, because when it comes to getting high and euphoric off of drugs, I amost have no control over myself. I even sold my Nissan 240-SX for $500 so I could score some brown.
My main point is, in my opinion, it is very likely that someone will be capable of doing cocaine on an occasional basis without having to worry too much about becoming an addict.
