Hi guys,

I just got this wicked idea (at least it seems so, can't try it out atm :( Finding a good vantage point (it helps but is not a must), Pick area which is full of visual stimuli (also helps but not a must) and try to observe what is happening using BINOCULARS.

It would be a really bizzare experience in terms of VISUALS. Imagine your vision limited to binocular shaped area and visuals morphing when ZOOMING IN and OUT :)

Unfortunately,I do not posses a pair of binoculars atm and cannot test my theory. So if any of you has binoculars and is going to trip
(with at least decent visuals oifc) then please try it and report back here, if it's worth I'll invest some money and buy myself some

Digital Camera zoom doesn't count either - got a shitty fool proof compact camera ;)

cheers

This is a cool idea, I found a pair of glasses once, I picked them up and dubbed them my 'Trip goggles'.
I could only handle it for about 20 seconds, because of my intense motion sickness and headaches, but it was realllly weird and interesting.
But I love looking through them sober too, just walking around, everything from a different perspective of those optics.

I was actually just thinking about doing this recently, my next trip ill have some binoculars on hand to check it out, also when I thought about this idea I reminded myself I had some decent working binoculars stashed away in my room some where worked out perfectly found them quickly and they still work like a charm I can see very clear for a nice distance, really wonder how there gonna look while on psychs.

I've done exactly this on mushrooms. We relaxed on a large rock on top of a large hill, or mesa if you will, and looked over the entire town using binoculars.

Very fun! Looking at cops cruising about and kids skateboarding at schools and whatnot...It give's you the feeling that your some sort of spy able to investigate anywhere you please. I'd recommend it! This was a long time ago when I tried this and I do intend on trying it again sometime soon.

This has just reminded me of a cool thing with binoculars. With enough light, looking through them back to front you can use them as a sort of weak microscope.

Give it a try.

With just a little more effort take it up a notch and bring out the telescope for some moon, planet and star action.

Interesting idea, as is the glasses thing when you don't wear them normally. In my case I wear glasses and so an interesting way to adjust my visuals is actually to take them off. The intense loss of clarity leads to sort of a blend of CEVs and OEVs for me, and I suddenly get all these colourful rainbow fractals over everything - the downside being because it's so blurry, I can't see anything behind them..

I actually have an old pair of binoculars, sort of a family heirloom.

Sounds like a good idea to me.
