Ok I screwed up big time here...:( I'm on methadone and got my dose down from 120 to 48 with slow tapering. I got some etizolam with the plan to stock up for when its time i get off the methadone for the methadone withdrawls. The first time I got the etizolam since never having it before I had to try it to see if it was something actually worth it so I wasnt wasting my time or money. And since then being an addict I pretty much never stopped. I didnt even realize it until I checked my invoices but I think I've been on them since april 1st possibly. But in the first few days/weeks I wasnt on them every day.

But Point is I got up to 30mg a day. Popped up dirty at clinic and got put on contract. They HAD a program(most likely still do) where you can go to the hospital for 10 days and they get you off. And I am down for that, but am worried they might say I should of said something before I signed the contract. But I honestly didnt think it was going to be this bad especially from what I read on bluelight about it.

I've had problems with xanax before but always was able to get myself off them. With these I went from 30mg to cold turkey and exactly at the 4 day mark I was freaking out, seeing lights(like the lights you see when you close your eyes) and was getting hotter and hotter and horrible headache. I've never had a seizure but I think thats where I was headed especially becuase of the lights(can anyone confirm this?).

Anyways at that point I took 4mg and surprinsingly it got me out of it. Then once again a few hours before the 4 day mark same thing happened but this time it took more than 4mg to get me out of it. I ended up taking i'm guessing 6mg xanax and like 10mg etizolam which I didnt need that much but I was stupid and wanted relief. But at first I did just try 4mg of etizolam then added 1mg xanax and it wasnt helping so then took more of each :(

And on top of that I have a colonoscopy on wensday. I was told by the head nurse at the clinic that for the anethesia they will probably give me fentanol and a type of benzo and he said as long as i get the paper work my next UA will be excused.

As long as I dont get tested(my insurance tests about every 45 days) on monday or tuesday ill have a whole another month to get off them which is what Im praying is going to happen. But my colonoscopy may be cancelled due do a test that my hemotologist was supposed to do but insurance wont pay for it. But i'm going to call the doctor on monday and explain I allready fought a battle to get the take home methadone for this, paid for a ride allready, bought the perscription laxitives and honestly this will be my only chance to get it done.

Anyways im obviously freaking out right now, I may get kicked off the methadone and don't know what ill do having to go through wds from methadone and benzos.

Anyone have any advice please of knows of anything that will help with etizolam withdrawl thats not a benzo? I have gabapentin about 20 lryicas valerian root and a few others will any of that help? I really need help

Your gonna need lots of gabapentin. Valerien root will help a little bit. Unfortunately with that much benzo you NEED a taper so you either have to get more etizolam or see a doctor and taper with a benzo(recomended). Don't do this on your own unless you have to. If you only have the money to self medicate then your your own doctor so you have to be responsible like a doctor and not ruin your taper. But yah can't tell you shit about the methadone clinic.

But does gabapetin help? I have plenty of that and some lryica and some Valerian root. Anything else that can help? Yeseterday I took 1mg xanax but don't have anymore of that

Yes it helps why do you think I said you need it? Gabapentin, Lyrica, and valerien will work wonders. There are a lot of options. I would personally use those in reasonable doses. I hate to advise you what to take but these work well from what I've read\experienced. Lots of things help with withdrawal but the main thing is keeping a positive mood. Avoid drinking as the rebound anxiety of a hangover could make you feel terrible and relapse or just feel terrible. Good luck!

and for bed Sleepytime Green tea is a mix of chamomile and decaf green tea which has l-theanine in it naturally and will make you feel better IME.

You need a taper.

You need to speak to your first line care giver and be completely honest about the extent of your habit, you're in pretty deep. Your primary objective has to be making sure you're not kicked off your juice script, so only do this if you can be sure this won't happen. Really with a habit at that level you are most likely going to need professional help to get yourself right again, especially if you're on juice as well. it will certainly be a lot easier.

If you're offered the rapid taper over 10 days then it will be rough but I would snap up the opportunity I think. It will be really hard but at least it will be done and you should be in safe hands.

Really though, honesty between you and your doctors is what is needed if you are sure you can go through with it whilst protecting your juice script. I know I would be owning up to my drug worker at this point if I was in your situation. My drug worker might be different to your caree giver though.
