So the opiate thing I've got under control. I've been skipping 2-3 days at a time and insomnia has not been bad at all.
As long I continue with my tapering/skipping days/eating well, its fairly easy to deal with so far.
SOOOO I decided, "what the hey", lets quit smoking weed now too. I felt like I was ready for it, so I stopped.
2 days pass by and I feel great. I'm more motivated than I've been in a long time, feel super ambitious, I'm honestly
loving the way I feel being off pot.
Untill day 3 struck, and holy shit, the insomnia is WORSE than opiate wds!
Or maybe its a combination of opiate wds and cannabis wds. But the opiates wds have really been minor.
The thing is, I can NOT go back to smoking pot. I simply don't want to. My brain feels so much clearer without the pot.
I also feel like my IQ has gone up a little bit lol.
Today is day 5, and last night was the same. I did NOT SLEEP for 1 minute.
I am also wired up like I'm on speed or something. My body is AMPED, but my brain is begining to detach.
I had NO IDEA that cannabis withdrawal was even real, nevermind this intense.
For anyone who's gone through this. How long does the insomnia generally last? With opiates I was smart to taper,
but for pot I just didn't see the point. Anyhow, will antihistamines help? Does anyone know what is actually triggering
the insomnia?
I was reading online & people were saying that your body doesnt' know when to sleep. Because most people toke at night,
and your brain then knows its bedtime. Well I call bs on that for a simple reason. Its been 3 days, my body HAS TO KNOW
that it needs to sleep! So does anyone know what is going on biologically? I know with opiates is usually adrenaline thats
all over the place.
What gets knocked off balance when you stop pot? That I can possibly supplement w/out pot?
Thanks guys - Bo
