Holy ****, quinine in club soda actually works for RLS

/\ Um for the record it didn't work.
I took it in the morning when I woke up that day and do remember the sensations going away. But I was guaging it by laying on a couch for 15mins after I just got done moving around. And I'm thinking the moving around alone could have exhausted the RLS. But like always it just comes back.
I drank the liter that night and the worst part is believe it or not I slept lower than my avg, falling alseep for only 2 hours before awakening to RLS.

So no =[ it did not work.
I have gabapentin, soma, and clonidine coming in a few days, and if one of those don't work I'm essentially fucked. It really is just a never ending case of RLS. I'm thinking this could go on for months after wds, which never happened last time around.

And sorry to get peoples hopes up about this, but maybe it will still work for some people.

I don't think you'll experience RLS for months after you get off the opiates. If I remember correctly my RLS went away after a few weeks when I went CT.

Be careful with the Soma, I've heard some people say that it actually caused RLS for them. Doesn't make much sense seeing as it is a muscle relaxant but I've heard that it can sometimes cause an inner restlessness of it's own.

Just buy quinine pills. Put them in gelcaps if the taste is too strong. If you're using tonic water get the generic diet stuff because the normal stuff has lots of empty calories. If I were you I'd also boil it down to avoid peeing all night.

I'm glad i stumbled on this thread. One of my main reasons for taking opioids/ benzos is RLS. I've had it off and on for many years but the past 1 year (last 6 months in particular) have been awful. My doctor prescribes my oxazepam for it, which works great. Problem is that i have no insurance... $55 to just walk in the doctor office, then $30 for 60 oxazepam (which is supposed to last a month, but usually only last 2 weeks) Buying other benzos off the street would be cheaper. Very few sources for me though. Anyways... i think i'll buy some tonic soda to have around just in case. For me stress seems to be the worst antagonist for my RLS. Exercise does help quite a bit, but after working 8-10 hours i really don't feel like going for a run. Maybe i'm just lazy. Well, sorry for the ramble (kratom makes me talk. type alot) Thanks for the info bojangles... could be a lifesaver for me :)

You have no idea how happy you just made me ....when im dope sick i can deal with all the other fu**ed up $hit your body goes through... except RLS it totally kicks my ass. it brings me to my knees. if this really works you will be my saviour!
