It's easy to stop listening
once you realize that nobody's speaking
A thousand telephones
glued to ears that don't exist
While life escapes trough the reciever
Sucked into the black hole
on the other side
As soulless threads of silk are spun
weaved on looms of sadness
by empty puppets
Their strings binding and choking
wanting desperately
to break free of their hollow shell existence
But the thoughts of a thousand hopeful saints
can't save them
from the false prison they've created
for themselves
Forever toiling and slaving
searching for memories
that they forgot even existed
Praying
that someday they'll wake up
and remember how to live again

i can totally relate... it's like everyone is so obsessed with being connected at all times, they lose the real human relationships.
pretty way of putting it, though.
welcome to bluelight, keep posting!

absolutley!! its so hard not to try to help when someone you care about is down. but really theres nothing anyone can do, unless the person is willing to do the work themselves.

I love this - this is my reality! 1000 faces confront you, but no one can hear a damned word you're trying to tell them. :)
Beautiful opening line - great stuff.
ANd i agree with you Ant - it's so true! You can't help someone who is unwilling to help themselves...
