Historically influential dance tracks

Am I allowed to say "Spin, Spin Sugar" by Sneaker Pimps?

Would that fit into the list somewhere?

I mean, it's old skool and all, but it still kinda rocks :\

I'll add some more:
Front 242 - Headhunter
Nitzer Ebb - Let Your Body Learn
DAF - Der Mussolini
Giorgio Moroder - Chase
808 State - Cubik
Bomb The Bass - Beat Dis
Kraftwerk - Das Modell, The Robots, Autobahn, and many more!
X-101 - Sonic Destroyer (classic!)
and Daft Punk's Homework was quite influential too!

Robert Miles ?????? In the name of dead donkey bollox!!!! 8) He stole just about every sound he had, and made bland arse, but that's just my opinion of course. But influential ? 8(

Anyway, for trance at least we have the 1991-1993 MFS catalogue. Also the 1990-1994 FAX catalogue. Previous to that I would go with Kraftwerk.

Kernkraft - Zombie Nation
Hatiras - Spaced Invader
Darude - Sandstorm
Alice Dee Jay - Better Off Alone
Daft Punk - Around the World and One More Time

..just off the too of my head, that weren't already mentioned. With the exception of Alice Deejay, I've heard all of them at least a dozen times each played at key, peak times in DJ sets that really get the crowd jumpin.

that is the sound track to '89

when house happened =D

Sasha - Xpander - Every clubbers dream is to hear this track being droped by Sasha. It was a massive hit in 1999, and it will remain a classic.

Orbital - Chime - Don't quote me on this, but wasn't this the first 'electronic' track to hit the music charts in the U.K.?

Underworld - Dark & Long - Need I say more?

PvD - For an Angel - Unfortunately, this one is a classic in the trance genre.

Plenty of more, but my head hurts... :)

There are tons that have already been mentioned, but I don't think I've seen any of these yet:

808 State - Pacific State
Second Phase - Mentasm
A Guy Called Gerald - Voodoo Ray
Mr. Fingers - Can You Feel It
Humanoid - Stakker Humanoid
Prodigy - Charly
Hallucinogen - LSD
AFX - Analogue Bubblebath
The KLF - Chill Out (album)
DJ Shadow - In/Flux

some of hte most influential tracks in the rave scene in my opinion are
general base - Rythym & Drums Pt 1
a-tension - angels
dyewitness - masterplan
dune - cant stop raving (got alot of people into happy hard)
ultrasonic - anihalating rythem (first guys to be put on the map for there style of mc'ing and playing hardcore)

others include

the first rebirth
rank1 - airwave
bt - godspeed
paul van dyk - for an angel
the prodigy - out of space, voodoo people
hocus pocus - heres johny
david morales - needing you

Excellent list. Pacific State - jeez that takes me back. Beautiful chill with that lovely chirping noise (other 808 classics: In Your Face & Nimbus). Stakker Humanoid is a killer, and that is (believe it or not) the Future Sound of London. Prodigy - Charly had that hoover sound from Hades. Although Pete Namlook had that hoover sound going a few years before. But anyway. AFX - great electro style from RDJ. Voodoo Ray is a classic with that meandering vocal. The KLF's Chill Out (actually with Dr. Alex from the Orb) is a landmark album. Great list!!!!
