High Light: When a Psilocybin Study Leads to Spiritual Realization

This article put a huge smile on my face!

...I realized the light was getting brighter and brighter and strangely brighter, until I understood that this light was not in the room, it was inside me. At that moment, it was as if all the cylinders in the lock somehow fell into alignment, the door swung open, and I found my consciousness being flooded with brilliant Light. Without notice or fanfare I had arrived at a transcendental state, and was awestruck at the discovery. I felt a sense of joyous expansion as it opened fully to me, like entering a splendid palace, yet the feeling was completely natural and gentle.

I've felt this feeling myself and it is a truly life-changing experience. I am so excited that the benefits of psychedelic usage are making it into legitimate publications.

You may be having a mushroom experience if you find a dead moth stuck to the window screen in your shop and you feel overwhelmingly compelled to take it in the palm of your hand and carry it forth into the woods in somber step, finding the perfect place in a cool shade, at the base of a Hickory tree, a place that this pale shadow of what was once a magnificent being ordains by way of a faint vibration, is in fact the appropriate place to be laid to rest, and you gently place it sitting up right and with dignity, it's face into the wind......lol! or not, ; )

They did some of those studies here in Baltimore at Hopkins bay view. They put up ads for studies they do, I've done 2 opi studies both suboxone related. I thought about trying to qualify for the psilo study but Id prob be denied because I'm rxd Mmt and benzos. They want specific ppl for the studies. Any other Marylanders can look in the Baltimore city paper and see the ads or go to their website. They do the trials in what's called the bpru or behavioral pharmacology research unit. The floor above where the bpru is located is filled with big cages with monkeys and other primates. Kinda makes you realize how much of a guinea pig you are...but the monkeys don't have a ps2 in their unit I don't think.

Great article, I love reading experiences like that.

Edit. I just looked at their site and Dr Griffith's is still doing psilo studies. Look under the section for anxiety
