High blood pressure and ice usage

But saw my doctor last night to get my regular prescription for blood thinning meds and she measured by blood pressure at 178 over 90, way way up yet I have not touched ice (or anything) for over 2 weeks, almost 3.

Two questions: Should I abandon my long planned ice shot tomorrow night? I don't want to take too much of a risk if I can just wait a while until my blood pressure falls and then go again. Just a shame to waste a long weekend, much looked forward to.

And the anticipation might be why my blood pressure is so high???

Second question:I haven't touched anything since May 20, so it will be 3 weeks tomorrow. Shouldn't my blood pressure have fallen by now? Has anyone heard of this hanging around so long?

If your BP is that high I wouldn't recommend using ice (assuming you're referring to methamphetamine...or 4-MAR?) or another stimulant.

As far as how long your BP should stay up, I'm not exactly sure, does your doctor know about your stimulant usage? Maybe they could provide a more accurate (and medically backed) answer.

I'm going to edit the title of your post for easier searching and so maybe you can get some more replies.

If you have clonidine, take 0.1-0.2 mg of it - it will drop your blood pressure to normal. In fact, many psychiatrists who script Adderall, Dexedrine, or Desoxyn to their patients they are also scripting them clonidine, so the BP remains normal.

If you don't have clonidine, use a benzo in moderate doses. If that fails, 2-3 shots of hard liquor will drop your BP.
