Hi I'm new and have questions concerning a drug test??!!

My bf doesn't do coke but I do and he had to take a pre employment drug test and he failed for coke, the only way we thought he could have had ANY in his system is from me from saliva by chance. Well they said he had a faint line on coke but failed him once they got a second opinion. They sent it to the lab and they called him today saying he failed. But he passed his hair follicle test. He hasn't done any drugs at all in over a year. I think he can resubmit for another test but it's gonna be the same specimen. What should we do? How is it possible to fail a UA but pass a hair follicle te
 
Hello there! It sounds to me that it would be extremely rare for this to occur. Even if he did receive some through saliva the percentage would be too small to show up on a drug test most of the time. It sounds to me like he may have either A. done some, or they have an extremely sensitive drug test. Do you know how many panels the test was? Typically even a twelve panel would not pick it up if it was just a little through saliva. Cocaine also metabolizes extremely fast. I would recommend he demands a re-test.
 
See that's what I said! And it had been hours since I had done any when we did kiss. I believe it was a 12 panel test. But he took a home test the next day and it was clean and I had done some right before kissing him. I just don't see how he could fail a UA but pass a hair follicle?? I believe he is retesting but I think it may be the same specimen. I just don't know what to even think right now because we really need him to get this job and he was for sure going to get hired he just had to take the drug test and that was it. We were shocked when the results came back
 
I would have been too, that does seem extremely odd. If the worst thing happens, and for some reason the test continues to mess up, don't give up home. There are tons of opportunities out there for employment and whatnot. A hair follicle test will typically be much harder to pass, because it stays detectable in the hair a lot longer than it does in the urine. Keep us posted, and good luck!!
