If you could give a bit more background on the issue youre having it may be better in being able to help you, do you have small hidden veins to begin with even before you ever started injecting? What are you injecting? For instance I lived in Southern California for 5 years and the only dope I could get out there was Black Tar kind and that stuff kills veins worse than any other kinds of Heroin.
Are you not able to hit a vein at all right now?
I have been an IV user since 2001 and I have had the same problems, before I started IV use you could see the veins in my arms easily, now fast forward 15 years later many of my veins have since collapsed, gone into hiding and over gotten smaller making it more difficult to hit. I have had periods of sobriety away from IV use, 2 years and during that time veins will get better, you'll start to notice different ones. As I said I have rather troublesome veins that are difficult even for doctors and nurses to hit, but between last night and this morning I was able to inject dope 8 times without missing a drop outside of a vein. I first get in a HOT shower, when I get out I get my blood pumping with jumping Jacks then push ups, that helps alot. I then put my tornequet on while I'm preparing my shot while palpating (tapping on the target area of the vein) to get them to come out even a little bit more. Then comes the mental work, making sure you are calm, cool the anxiousness of anticipating the register, breathing properly as oxygen helps veins expand.
