Hey everyone, im a 58 yr. old male that is sober now after 47 yrs. of doing every drug under the sun. Havnt touched a drug or a drink for 6+ yrs. Life is great now, i did A.A. for 4 yrs. but kind of got tired of hearing the same old stories all the time. It did save my life along with rehab. Ive been with the same woman for 37 yrs. and love her more than anything except God. Im not a holy roller but i believe and am eternally gratefull for all the blessings i receive every day! Im on disability and have a trust fund so i havnt had to work since 2001. Im not rich but i can get by if i dont have too many financial suprises. I am an honest guy and im proud of that because of the life i led i lied my ass off. In fact, my whole life was a lie. I hope to make friends and learn stuff. Thanks for having me. T.

Welcome to the site and congratulations on getting and staying sober. Having a wonderful and understanding partner must have helped you a great deal along the way.
We do have a sober living section where your experiences may be able to help and/or inspire others if you wish to talk about it - 'Sober Living'.
I'm sure you will find some sections where you feel that you fit in but if your struggling finding what your looking for please ask.
