Hi there. My name is Barry (not really). Im 33 yo. Been lurking on here for a while and read some very interesting drug discussions and also gained some valuable knowledge in doing so.
I have quite a personal interest in pharmacology, as i have spent most of my life with several chronic physical and mental health problems. So iv been on many different medications. Some which would be considered narcotics or potentially abusable. (pregabalin for fibromyalgia) Various benzo's for GAD and panic disorder. Sedative antihistamines for chronic Urticaria (hydroxazine and chlorphenamine). I have also been on many different antidepressants. To name a few - citalopram, sertraline, mirtazapine and most recently ,venlafaxine
To my astonishment. Venlafaxine has had a hugely positive effect on my mental health and reduced the pain from my fibro.
I used to have a pretty bad drink problem. But i have been sober for over a year now Yay!
In my youth i was a heavy cannabis smoker, and occasional coke,speed and ecstacy indulger.
I look forward to learning more about prescription drugs ie. benzos, opiates, and antidepressants from other BL members and hopefully i can share some of my experiences with you guys too.
