Hi, acute pain question while on bupre

Hi,

I am on bupre and have been for a number of years, I’m likely going to have a tooth pulled on Thursday. What happens for pain management for me if anyone knows? I’m already crippled with pain now from an abscess but am scared of what will happen after the procedure. Will I get given a higher dose for the meantime or be expected to rough it with paracetamol etc?

Well..dentists got a new very effective anesthetic drugs...u won't feel anything,but if u've got abscess already I guess dentist would give u a week or more course with antibiotics and after curing infection will extract the tooth...as to what kind of med would eventually help u with pain afterwards idk....try Tylenol or sort,but with Ur bupe probably won't work..im my place dentist won't give u anything

I've had plenty an abscess removed due to my rare genetic dental condition.

Id usually get Vicodin.

Depends how much you complain and what tooth it is. If they're pulling our a bigger tooth or it wasn't easy to remove and they had to cut it up then they'd be more likely to prescribe something.
