I am a little shy but I have been reading the posts and have a few questions. Please be gentle with me until I learn my way around. I need pain sleep and Ritalin and I do not know how to get my doctor to write anything. What can I do?

Welcome to bL. I'd just like to point out that we have a strict no sourcing policy, and this extends to not telling people what to say to their doctors to obtain the medication they desire, no matter how legitimate the need.

What I can tell you is talking openly, and being honest about how you're feeling is generally a great policy for getting treatment that will serve you well. If you don't mind my asking, what all is bothering you so that you feel a need for said medications?

With that information, I'll be able to better direct you to an appropriate area of the site to converse with tons of other people going through the same things.
